Server freeze on "Synchronization"

dedicated server, XAseco .98, fufi-menu & -widgets, about 30 maps.

out of a sudden the server freezes after the line

Code: Select all

[2011/12/22 03:06:42] ...Synchronization
when there are no players online.

sometimes the sync lasts for 8-26 seconds but most of the time it freezes - normally just needs exactly 4 seconds.

I'm able to log into the server but can't drive at all. sometimes I'm able to shutdown XAseco and the map starts as expected but most of the time I have to kill it manually and restart it afterwards.

funny thing though: it also happens without XAseco running after 'bout 5 maps without any player connected.

any ideas?!?

and no, no further info in the log-files: no error, no warning, NUL :(

on further investigation it seems that the plugin "alternate scoretable" causes the troubles - gonna work on that one at the correct forum...

Xaseco v.98... for a second I thought you were running TMN, lol...

Just figured the v.98 of v2 would be v1.98... :roflol:

It's not a sequel but a parallel development. The upcoming XAseco2 v1.00 and XAseco v1.15 should be identical in functionality.

People just need to be accurate when mentioning names and versions, but that goes for any tool they use. :)

Understandably... There's not many release naming conventions that make much sense.. In MLEPP we're going by svn revisions like ML, which works well enough but is confusing when dealing with different branches. I for one like the standard old alpha, beta, RC, final style.. ie, Xaseco v2.1 RC3, a naming convention that aims towards a final stable product.

Guess I succeeded in derailing another topic, though somehow I knew you'd stop in..
