Some precious infos from polish magaizne

Hello there guys.

New issue of polish magazine called CD-Action was released just today, and it contains some Shootmania footage. I don't feel like translating the whole text myself, so let me quote some most important news:

- The game will probably contain micropayments. (its not really sure if they meant the in-game money that we already have (planets) or real money; later in the text it's said that "most of the services are going to be free, but one will be able to buy some new functions using the in-game cash" (presumably planets).
- Maximum number of players on the servers is not known yet, but Nadeo is working on 1vs1 matches as well as bigger ones.
- Confirmed game modes are Deathmatch and Battle Mode (probably similar to Conquest in Battlefield 3; capturing points on the map to gain territory and win the game)
- Game will allow players to use only one weapon (that's for sure).
- "The game will get more intense while player will stand on a special surface - then the normal bullet burst will turn into lightning stream" (yet another retarded translation (c) me (i'm not even gonna change anything here, it really speaks for itself :D))
- Maniaplanet 2.0 will let us share videos, photos, stats etc. (not really related to Shootmania, but still was mentioned in the same article)
- Premiere is going to happen in the last quarter of 2012, but the exact date is not known yet.
- There are vehicles incoming in the next Shootmania game! Woo :)
- Beta will run "during next few months".

I will inform you guys if someone will post a full translation. As of now I mailed CD-Action asking if i can post the scans here (nothing interesting to see, really - just some screens that we have already seen).

Cheers,
prom.

EDIT: I fixed some of the worst sentences. Sorry about the previous version, I guess I was too tired to understand what I was writing ;D

I think there is not really a big problem to release two games within 3 months. After all, guys from CD-Action may know more than us ;)

There are vehicles incoming in the next Shootmania game!
Interesting. So we can expect some kind mode involving cars (tanks?); death match. I'm thinking towards something like Twisted Metal. 8-)

I think that's a wrong translation, and they wanted to talk about valey in MP2.0. Because you know, when Nadeo restrict players from having more than 1 weapon, I don't think adding vehicules to a FPS-by-nadeo is a good idea;

Nadeo have never speak about vehicles on ShootMania.

It's not a translation failure. The original text is "Wiemy natomiast, ze ShootMania Storm ma byc pierwszym elementem dluzszego cyklu, mozna wiec liczyc na to, ze zostanie rozbudowana o kolejne dodatki (w jednym z nich najprawdopodobniej znajda sie pojazdy)" (forget me the loss of polish diacritical letters, I'm using Windows 8 in english version at the moment).

The part about "dodatki" (the polish word for "add-ons" or "expansion packs") is probably the effect of small knowledge of text's author (Eugeniusz Siekiera) at the Shootmania/Trackmania topic; he doesn't probably know that next environments are going to be GAMES not EXPANSION PACKS.

Anyways, the exact meaning is: "Besides we know, that Shootmania Storm is meant to be the first element of a longer series, so one can hope that it'll be expanded with another add-ons (one of them will probably contain vehicles)" (see the part about the word "dodatki")

If you don't believe me, check it out in Google Translate ;) Of course the author could have made a mistake or whatever, but I'm absolutely sure that original text says that we can expect vehicles in next Shootmania.

EDIT: Still got no answer from CD-Action about the scan. Even if I'll receive one, I think I might not get the permission, but still I hope they'll show some heart ;)
