The Nickname may be stored within the profile file in Maniaplanet\Config within your documents directory. But these files are encrypted, you cannot simply change the Nick within them.

The other question is: Why do you want to change your Nick outside the game?

I dont understand, do you want to change your player name or the user name
i think you mean the user name that is shown online. ?

If you mean the login name you must contact nadeo
but if you mean your player name it´s easy
just go to profile in game menu and change the nickname, but if you want to
spice up your name tag with colors and stuff, just go here: http://nickr.brun.pl/

I think he wants to change his player name not in game, but somewhere in the game files.

LOGIN name (the name you enter, with your password, to play the game) ..... I believe this is unchangeable

USERNAME ... (the name you choose to use in game and shown on screen every time you chat) .... This IS changeable.

As already stated, this is done by entering the new USERNAME into the Name Box at the top of your TM ingame Profile. Copying (CTRL plus C) and Pasting (CTRL plus V) your USERNAME also works and is used more by players with more complicated and colourful USERNAMES.

If you want to store lots of different USERNAMES then create a new document (Notepad) in your TM Folder (so you can find it again) ... and put a different USERNAME on each line. Press 'Save As' and enter a filename (something like TM Usernames) and then change the 'Encoding' in the box below from 'ANSI' to 'Unicode' (this will save the special characters you may want to use). Press Save. When you want a change you just 'copy and paste' it into your TM Profile. Remember to use the CTRL and V buttons to paste into the TM game
