Tried searching the forums for a solution to this, but was unable to find one. My appologies if there is one. I used to have the exact same issue when playing World of Warcraft, but was able to resolve it thanks to the help of their forums where a few others had the same problem. The same thing happens in both fullscreen and windowed mode.

If you're running mumble with the overlay function activated, this will create a white square on your screen, so just disable it in the mumble options and you should be fine.
