mp04.maniaplanet.com is up, so if you guys find a way to force a connection to that server that should work.
I've tried in the advanced network settings, but still no luck. Taking my rest now and hoping for a connection tomorrow. Cheers!

Yeah that's true. Server's online. Would've been nice if there is a server status page somewhere. I guess the hosts fix is a bypass for playing offline and avoiding the check, but the thing is...we want to play online! That's exactly the reason why I bought this game in the first place.
