[TM2] ERROR CODE 12029

Hello guys
Right i need help, i was playing on the game and i closed it down, then i noticed it was hanging on when closing..
after my tea i went to play it again..now get this below

in the box on the screen!
Unable to load TM Canyon you must be connect to once to ManiaPlanet Server to active, Acquire or update this title

clicked ok
next box said

could not install or update the title files

clicked ok
next box
this title isn't playable

then the main screen comes up but its like the closing screen black ! with the closing music
the only thing i can click on is the profile page, in the all my cars gone simply because the game is not online !

ERROR CODE 12029 "you not connected to the net..well i just post this" help is need on this guys just about to finish a track as well argh

Have you try to make this ?

Check your host file in windows (You can find his location here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_file)

Then put this file in editable mode (right click on this file => uncheck the hut read-only).
You need to remove these ligns (if it appears)

You save your new files and recheck the hut read-only.


Now try to connect to ManiaPlanet.

Why are suggesting a solution to a problem that shouldn't happen to begin with? Domain overrides don't magically appear in the HOSTS file at random points in time. I can't connect either, it's the Nadeo servers.

same problem here, checked the hostfile, but found out that it must be the nadeoserver. My game trys to connect to mp03.maniaplanet.com. If you check the playerpage https://mp03.maniaplanet.com/player/html/ doesn't work either

I can check the player pages on mp02, yet it still doesn't log into it in game. Don't expect any quick fixes, since it's Sunday and it's kinda holy in Europe as far as working on it goes.

Got same problem, tried editing the host file. But then I get the error "Incorrect server reply" in TM2

Yeah that's true. Server's online. Would've been nice if there is a server status page somewhere. I guess the hosts fix is a bypass for playing offline and avoiding the check, but the thing is...we want to play online! That's exactly the reason why I bought this game in the first place. Also, don't forget to undo the changes in the hosts file when the server is up again...ow sigh...
