[FIXED] Radio Silence: TM2 Canyon Physics bug

Re: Radio Silence: TM2 Canyon Physics bug
A really easy way to check the two wheel behavior is the start of D06 in the Canyon campaign. The first left downhill is a very extreme two-wheel case and you can easily judge the turning radius by racing one of the top leaderboard ghosts, which are all driven in MP4.0 with "correct" physics.
Re: Radio Silence: TM2 Canyon Physics bug
I'm very happy to see that this issue has gained momentum, or at the very least that we now see a little bit of transparancy concerning the physics.
I am in no way or shape a voice for the entire TM2 Canyon playerbase but I do think I speak for a lot of people when I say thank you for the swift response and showing up with concrete actions.
I hope with the help of these replays from Mebe and the feedback from some other players you'll be able to figure out where the problem lies and I look really forward to hopefully a fixed Canyon soon - until then I'm super happy that we were able to form a dialogue in this topic and bridge the gap between regular players like me and you as Nadeo staff.

Another way to confirm is to let one of us try a "beta" build! I'm sure tons of Canyon pros here wouldn't mind spending a few minutes out of their day to give feedback

Re: Radio Silence: TM2 Canyon Physics bug
hi all
can you test this beta build : http://files.v04.maniaplanet.com/setups ... etLogs.zip ?
(we keep checking code)
thanks

Are their changed physics in this beta build?damien wrote: ↑23 Nov 2018, 16:10 hi all

When yes, in all Envis?

Riolu on Discord is reporting that this seems to fix it!!
Haven't tried it myself but it sounds promising!

Re: Radio Silence: TM2 Canyon Physics bug
yes canyon, valley and lagoon share the same vehicle physics code (known internally as "Model07") (but not the same tunings).
whereas stadium is "Model06" and desert is "Model03".
so if fixed, it is fixed for canyon, valley and lagoon.

Nice to hear that, it is fixed!
And nice to know that my feeling was right, about the slightly changed physics in Lagoon, too!
So no placebo from my side! xD

Can confirm the fix. Problematic sections now behave as expected, so I think this chapter can be closed. Will investigate further and let you know.
Also interesting information about Canyon, Valley and Lagoon sharing the same physics code. Not surprising since all three cars work the same in their core, when you really break them down to basic behavior. Still good to know.
However: given the facts that Stadium is Model06 and Desert is Model03: are the other vehicles named Model00, Model01, Model02, ...and so on? Then it'd make sense for the TM2 vehicles to be Model07 since they're the eighth developed vehicle :insert thinking emoji here:
