New ShootMania Forum / League site - Looking for staff

Hi all,

Wow, what a day we've had at E3 2012. Some disappointments but some great games as well.

I think ShootMania really hit home with a large amount of the competitive scene and now it's had more exposure I imagine the interest will only grow and grow.

Anyway - as part of the ShootMania Hype / Build-up, myself and a friend are in the process of setting up a ShootMania Competitive community and League / Competition site.

Most of the work over the coming weeks will be done by us, but at the same time we're thinking ahead and would like to know if any of you fellow fans would like to get involved with the site, be it news posting, eSports team coverage, Forum moderators etc - we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking initially for 3 European based staff and 3 US Staff (This will allow us to cover the majority of timezones)

yeah sure, i think you forgot http://www.tm-actu.com that will switch to http://www.mania-actu.com! We have 2 years old now, a large MP audience, we speak about all maniaplanet stuff since it appeared, and all our staff have great experience of this kind of website since years!.

But IMO, you just split skill with all your new websites, and this is not really smart. I know how hard it is to find smart and skilled people to work with and by doing all your websites alone you make the wrong decision.

I agree wih the fact that we need diversity, and in website too... But believe me...this kind of website is a LOT of works and gathering skills is the smartest thing to do.

But ayway, all the Mania-actu staff is ready to help you, and wish you a really GOOD luck for the future of your project. Because you'll need luck and courage.

There is always a need to welcome and make place for new people that want to lead some ideas. It is really important, and especially for people of mania-actu. It gives challenges but also less responsibility toward a worldwide community. you can then have your own style, make your decisions etc. If you say that you will be the only site, mania-actu, then you doom yourself and feel obliged for all the other players and organizers to come. Also, it does not prevent you from being the most popular, quite the contrary. It can brings people that move from one site to another. If there was only one website for all the sites in the world, it would be named internet, and internet is done to connect the nets together, as in inter-net. So, I welcome the "new"s as good "news" and insist that it is better to the smaller to growth since they can become the bigger that help you one day, if you want to see your interest and the one for the community.

It does not mean that it has always to be a new site. It is just that it is a specific time where the community can grow, and I am not sure that TM most experienced should take the burden of all the new paths to explore.

It is like for games, we don't say other FPS to come with us just because we are doing it. New way of doing things, new styles, new ideas (bad or good) new ways to challenge and to compare for the fun of trying to be better instead of trying to be alone!

Sincerely, this is real good thing! And yeah, new comers should also consider that "Mania" is a big thing and try to go step by step. Look at Demonaz signature we were having fun discussing with Alinoa this morning while coming at work: "Alpha TMO + TMF, Beta TMN + TMU + TMF + Canyon and I still don't get it..."

I remember when we met at the 2004 LAN and I made a joke he did not get, making the (I am not funny )
