I don't state my opinions as facts... I just make logical deductions, and when nobody can tell that it's wrong, well, it's not really my fault :/
Even FOV, while this gives you a better peripheral vision, players may not like that strange fish-eye effect you get from it, and they may opt out of using it, as these are not features that are only restricted to "pro's", they can be used by anyone.
I don't think all the players like to play with ugly graphics on cs, but they just adapt to them, because it's stronger and they want to win.

I have not read all, but up to TM simplicity being a good point and asking for a reply.

This is right that I would rather have 0 custom in order to be equal, but some custom are ok probably. I don't want a player to have a difficulty because of his bad custom, but mouse speed, cross hair, keys are basic things that players would rather want to set, like a shoe to his foot on a tennis field. So, it is between both theory, on the field of pragmatic. At least the drawgun_0 will not be custom ^_^

That's just arrogance. So if nobody can tell its wrong, except for you, then it's wrong?
You reply on every post in this forum aggressively and don't give anyone else the chance to express their opinions. I'm sure Nadeo don't only want to hear yours.

Sorry i know this is an old thread But was googling shootmania graphics tweaks and one of the links was this thread :P


I have to Agree with Zell on this , The real FPS players are going to want allot more control than what i can see in the beta so far , what i have played so far is no where near a competitive FPS game , Feels more like a Console kiddy friendly game


I come from the quake community , From the original quake to quake 4 and play them all regularly

There,s a reason why all 4 of those games are still active and have a big fallowing to this day and that's is giving the players access to tweaks so they can mod there game to suit there style and hardware


I have enjoyed the few hours i have played the beta , The movement feels great , only complaint is the slow weapons choices , That default weapon , supposed to be a rocket ?? you have to lead some one a half a map away and hope they run into it lol

Would love to see a Rail only mod something a bit faster

I apologize in advance for what I'm about to say right now, but...

Really?!? That's the reason they still have a big following today? And here I thought it was the amazing gameplay they offered.

Also, there are rail only modes around. iCTF, instagib melee etc.

The games are played because of the gameplay... Not because of a console. Seriously, you're making arguments to get a console from Nadeo , that arent arguments at all.

I love the fact that everyone has the same setup. Everybody is equal in this game.
+ When I launch the game I get a lot of options to tweak. ( not as much as in a console , i know )

Maybe they could expand those options a little more, but I dont really need a console. Sorry Zell :p

What I miss is
-fps_max
-cant think of anything else.

Sorry if those games didn't have a console and a source code released they wouldn't of lasted as long as they have

Being able to tweak your game for your style and the hardware you have has everything to do with gameplay
If your a real FPS player you wold understand that
