Ok - I've revised the competition close off and the reward of the prizes.

This affectively covers all eventualities. As far as the Competitive side goes, this is what we will be able to facilitate on our site.

1v1 Tournaments
1v1 Leagues
1v1 Ladders
2v2 Tournaments
2v2 Leagues
2v2 Ladders

Pay to play tournaments (Built-in paypal support, automatically awarding the cash to the winner upon end of tournament (No waiting unlike most leagues)

Free Agent support
Multiple team creation
Live stream support
Media Centre support

The aim is to build the community, see how well it takes off before investing more time, money and features into the site.

If all of that doesn't sound good - I'm not sure what does! :roflol:

that all sounds good of course, but why don't you join your powers with another community websites?!

and it's quite weird that you launch SM community, but don't know that SM will never be distributed via Steam :roflol:

Hi - if anyone wants to merge or get involved with the site, I'm all for it.

I've encouraged interested parties to apply to get involved and already have people who have done so.

We even have one of the staff from ManiaPlanet getting involved, so I think the signs are all good.

Regarding the Steam thing - I had someone at E3 from my site team and it was asked and it wasn't dismissed, just not announced at this moment. Steam has a big user base, so it would make sense to put a budget title on there as it will sell like hot cakes.

As you'll see from the official comment above, it didn't say never - it said, "Not for now" ;)

I have to agree with most other people here in regards to having multiple generalized community sites, especially before the game is even released. I'm already a follower of shootmaniaesports.com and i doubt I'd even remember to check another site. Uniting under one name and site would do nothing but progress the community further.

And on the topic of tournaments, its a bit redundant announcing tournament formats before we have any idea of which ones will be the most competitive. We'll need a bit of time for the real competitive game modes to get found or even developed before real tournaments can run - especially cash prize ones.
