I will link this blog post where Hylis explains title packs and other new concepts in ManiaPlanet:
http://blog.maniaplanet.com/blog/2012/0 ... -planet-2/

I think he outlines it very clearly how it works, especially in the last paragraph.

But to reiterate...

Joust and Elite may not even be in their own title packs when released. Elite was originally made to be one of the main modes for the ladder in Storm. But that's still to be decided.

As said before, they were made separate during the Alpha so that we could easily see how title packs work (and test them).

Storm, Canyon, Valley, etc.... these are the main titles we buy from Ubisoft. These main titles we get from the developers are what we used to refer to as "environments" in TrackMania United Forever. They have their own blocks, custom physics, etc.

From that template, we'll be able to make our own title packs that have custom game modes, texture mods, custom map campaigns, its own multiplayer ladder, etc.

Title packs is such a new concept in the world of TrackMania and ManiaPlanet. I think everyone will eventually understand how it works though. It's really genius and further expands the creative possibilities in the game. I can't wait to see what people do with it.

The Alphas often have no singleplayer.
All blocks need to be final to make tracks/maps.

About the new tunnel blocks. They are essentially a new category, which allows to build double way "canyon" routes inside a tunnel, with different possibilities (street crossing, v-u-turn, normal 180 degree u-turn, and ramps) to switch between both routes.

There wasn't a tilted road checkpoint in Island either, but people still managed to do awesome things with the tilted road blocks.
Heck, there weren't any checkpoints on the "side of island" road in coast, but people still found ways to use it and prevent cuts. They didn't just abandon it because it didn't have checkpoints.

and what is better: getting tilted checkpoint and making probably better tracks, or force people to make something without it?

There are already tilted platform CPs in Canyon.

It's very hard to get on and off of the GP blocks except by the normal route. I really don't think banked CP blocks are as necessary as people think. It wouldn't hurt to have one though of course.

Regarding the new tunnel blocks, they also have a secondary use as offroad blocks. There is even a road->offroad connector block and offroad ramps.
