As you can see in this new version 2 brightness is raised it seems or lack of shadow(unsure), anyway hope i'm not the only one seeing this as i have the same gfx settings used in version 1 as i have in new version 2.
Finally got it,
Indeed the lightmap decompress shader has been changed to handle better (heavy) jpg compression artifacts (random colors in dark areas, when lightmap is stored in a map file), and the minimum light intens is now a bit higher.
In next version, minimum light intens 'll be twice lower (making it more low than twice 'll make light/no_light transition buggy = too visible), then you'll get back the darkness you talk.
Thanks

Yes, you are wrong. I click Multiplayer, I can see the list of servers, but there is no more sign, which server is rounds, and which is time attack. Also, when you click "Filter", there is no option there. The only way you can tell if a server is rounds, is to look how many players the server will take. If the server takes more than 16 players it is not Rounds. (Someone just told me this trick)

I think you are wrong. I can choose between stunt/round/cup/timeattack ...
You have to go to the canyon-title first and then click on multiplayer. There you should be able to choose between different game modes.

Click on the canyon station before clicking on multiplayer
(maybe you didn't notice the other stations ? ctrl+ mouse wheel to zoom+-, or ctrl+mouse left + drag to scroll the stations horizontally), then click on the canyon station to enter the canyon you "know", and there you can go in multiplayer and find the standard browser.
Hope this helps ;)

The filter still works for me. Don't you see the "filter game mod" button in the multiplayer menu?

AHA. Now I got it. I was on the left side of the screen, where the menu is with Events, Multiplayer, Buddies, Groups etc. I was accessing the server menu from there. Now I know, I have to click on the big picture in the middle(Canyon Station?), then I get into the proper menu.

So if i understand this correctly min light intensity is now in version 2 higher than in version 1, and that's why in version 2 dark areas with little light source seems so much brighter than in version 1.
This will be set lower in next version, i'm hoping this is in next update not so long from now and not months/years away ;)
Good to see i could help figure this problem out :)

And if you hold the left mouse button and move it down (pick it up almost in the top of the screen, at least above the middle) and you'll see the boxes of SM and TM.

I have another problem. I'm unable to change the Player input keys. When I'm in the server and I go into Options, Player input, it will only allow me to ADD another key but not delete the current one. For example I tried to change the key to start chatting. The current one(after the update) is ENTER, but I want SPACE. So I click "chatting" and it asks me which key I want to add. I add SPACE, but ENTER is still there, how do I delete ENTER? I tried it several times, every time I ended up with frozen screen, and I had to force-exit the game with Task Manager.
