Can't connect + 404

Hi,
I recieved e-mail on Shootmania beta.
I used code, download file 1, file 2
Installed it.
And now I start "maniaplanet.exe/maniaplanetlauncher.exe", window appear with "play, options,.."
Click on play -> please wait -> "Can't connect to server (404)"

Can somedy pls tell mew what exactly it is?
And what can I do.
I searched here, but I don't have account on official page to re-download that game. Or is there something what I can do?

Try deactivating your anti virus program for 10 minutes, some virus programs seems to be a bit sad about trying to connect to maniaplanet.

Check your host file too : Windows/System32/drivers/etc and delete all row with maniaplanet if you have some.

There is only "hosts", "lmhosts.sam", "networks", "protocol", "services"

I had ESET turned off for half a hour and nothing :/

Edit the hosts file with Notepad.
