Vote ban can be left to work by principle that if the're 4 'No' votes, then the vote doesn't pass. Because you'll usually see 2-3 players playing in group. Basically, we get 3 instant 'No' votes in that case, if the subject to ban can vote too. And if he is really a problem, everyone will agree to ban. Therefore just make it strict, and his friend safe. Might be cool even with tag reading system, or colour pattern reading one.

The server admin can change the ratio needed to ban a player, by default it's 0.65 for ban and 0.5 for other vote (kick, next map...). But the problem it's, players don't read the vote and press F1 all the time (I have check this today, I have write in the chat "I launch a vote to test if it's disabled, please don't vote", and players vote F1 directly).

One solution, it's players need to learn to read but it's an utopia.

Yeah. All the problems in modern society, especially in games, that 95% do not want to read. And this is one of those rare things in life, that can get me mad in no time.

People, how difficult is to read one line for 5 seconds ? Especially if you do not know how to play ?

Truth is, that on skilled servers there's never a reason to voteban. For example, on Royal I usually play, the average rank is less than 200 (on Storm). I had seen voteban only once, yet is was definitely quite more 'No' than 'Yes'.

I've seen a ban on a Brazilian TMNF server. I asked the guy who started the vote the reason for such action.
The answer was ridiculous, the guy had "virus" as a nickname, so it should be banned ( :| )...
The "virus" was just wanting to play, and an ignorant moron trying to ban him because of a name ...

Therefore, I agree with him:

On all ManiaActu servers, the ban vote is disabled.
