Problem with Enter and ESC key

I came across a problem with pressing the enter or escape key today. I played on a server and tried to type a simple message, but everytime I pressed enter the game would register around 10 keypresses. Instead of activating the chat field with one keystroke, I would spam 5 blank messages. The same happened when I tried to leave the server by pressing escape. The menu would pop up and close several times within 0,1 seconds.
My keyboard is not broke, I just tested it - not a hardware problem.

This is happening on every server and it only started about 1 hour ago.
Hotfix plz? =)

Might be a server problem. I've played few times on a server that double-writes all the messages in the chat.

what keyboard are you using? saitek or?..

Strangely enough, but there is one server that types everything twice.
Also, I can barely imagine the keyboard to loop the signal more then twice.
Moreover, how has he written this post, if it is keyboard's problem ?

it might be keyboard compatibility with MP problem...

It is some kind of special keyboard compatibility then.
He must have some over-mofo-gamer keyboard to have it THAT messed up.

Not sure of the cause or even if this will work for you, but I had the same issue with the chat spamming 4 or 5 lines each time I hit Enter. I suggest you look at the key bindings for chat/chat to all, worked for me. As for the Esc problem, no idea

I'm using a Logitech K120, a very simple keyboard. I haven't experienced anything like this before - not even in other games.
Until today I haven't had this problem in shootmania, it just suddenly started and now I can't use the chat anymore, because I don't wanna get banned for spamming blank messages like hell.

I'm pretty sure the root of this problem is not my keyboard - I might try another one, though (just to confirm).

Sorry to bump an old topic, but I'm having the same issue. Whenever I use the Enter or Esc key ingame, it appears to register the key many times over. (Making chat spam, and making it impossible to get out of the options menu without hitting the resume button instead of simply typing Esc again)

I'm using a Steelseries 6GV2 keyboard, and I haven't had similar issues in any other game; this is the first time I've had such an issue.

Try to enable the exclusive keyboard capture in the advanced configuration, input tab.
