We are all waiting. This topic is about news, but there is no new news... So we have to wait until we get news in the press ;)

If TM ever makes a spin-off racing game, I pray that tehy add collisions...now with the replay feature disappearing in all racing games right and left, and TM being the only one left with a replay studio of any quality, it would be nice to see some more, I dunno, realistic car interaction, and not just racing from A to B. Besides, what with the state of the servers now, I really think that griefers in a race would be the least of our worries. And to further make the case for collisions...in NFS:World, while you can ram other racers, all it serves to do is f you up. Because the cars are heavy and stable enough not to get spun out, and so the whole race doesn't degenerate into a demo-derby.

I misunderstood your post at first, and thought you were wanting this in TM2. For a spin-off, sure, that would be cool (but the effort of making a spin off game would potentially be taken from TM2/SM/QM).

If we're going to have a spin-off game with collision, I'd like to go the rest of the way and add car damage. Miss that jump on a tough track and hit the wall? Your car just blew-up.

^ This ^

This is really the only thing I miss in this game. I know it would need some effort to do, but racing from A to B really gets boring in LAN games. I know there are other games for that, but none of them has a (decent) track editor
