Game no longer works after update.

Hi, their was an update 2 days ago for MP2 and TM Canyon. The MP2 file size was 59Mo I think and for TM Canyon 3Mo. As I'm using a 3G connection, download works at certain hours only ! I aborted the first update (59Mo.) and accessed as before the cloud and started TM Canyon. Autmactically it asked to update (3Mo.) I crossed my fingers and it downloaded, slowly but it did I then played for a while and quit.
Later on I wanted to play again, double-clickd the direct launch icon, the smal window apears a second as usual, the complete screen goes black with "please wait..." in lower right corner but after a second or 2, the whole system goes back to the windows desktop as if nothing happened !

I had something very similar when MP2 was first released. To resolve it I had to re-install the MP1 that was put available in-case of user install issues. I installed it, it then automactically updated with MP2. I tried that again but this time it did work !
When I try to start using either methods it doesn't work, please help !

What do you mean with "direct launch icon"?
Don't you use the regular launcher where you can also change your settings?

Try to launch ManiaPlanet.exe directly.

I ment the maniaplanet.exe for "diredct launch". So it just disapears using either method.

Did you install it with administrator rights?
Did you try to launch both Launcher and ManiaPlanet.exe with Administrator rights?

if still not working, I don't have an idea atm, sorry

No issue isn't fixed.

Yes, it was installed with admin rights.

Yes, both launcher and maniaplanet.exe launched with admin rights and the same happens, back to desktop.

Do you have actual ManiaPlanet logfile or crashreport everytime you start it?
Please check in your documents.

I met the exact same problem today!At the launcher screen ,I click 'play' and then the screen goes black with "please wait" in color white on the bottom right corner,and then after a second or two,it would automatically return to desktop.Game cannot launch!By the way ,the problem occured after I updated a pack of about 2MB in the game.After the update the game functioned well but when I quited and tried to restart game ,the problem would occur.

Frustration indeed. Launcher quits and screen returns to desktop without anything happening. Please help.

Yes I have todays crashreports in documents folder. Yesterday I tried starting the game also but these crashreports are not there. Maybe that`s normal. Anyway I don`t have a clue how to start playing again.
