No LP if you join a game in progress

It's the same system as in TrackMania.
When you join a game in progress you don't get LP. you're invalid for that game then.

But the main thing is, Rang says nothing, It's just nice to have, but it doesn't mean ladder 1 is better then ladder 1.000.000 Just the same as in TrackMania.

but this doesn't really work in SM. in TM (at least in time attack) round usually lasts just for 5 minutes. in SM it can take 30 minutes and more.

It's always been like this. And as someone mentioned, it prevents boosting through server hopping.

There would only be boosting through server hopping if you got full LP for whatever amount of time you spend playing the map in progress. If you'd only get a percentage of LP according to how much of the map you played, I don't see the issue.
What I do see however, is some players joining a map in progress and then just going afk. Nothing to gain from playing yet, right? Those players take up spots on a server and people who just want to play and don't care too much about LP can't join anymore.
