I recently made a new map, and created a game for others to join, I've had several people come try to come in, but they never made it...
Am I doing something wrong?
Is there certain steps required to take to create a game? =/
Can't create game properly.

Re: Can't create game properly.
Sorry, I'm not quite sure,
They could have just been messing with me and never showed up.
but even when I make a game, i've waited over a half hour for people to join and nothing...
I just want to make sure there isn't anything else I have to do to get it working..
it should work just by creating a game, right?

One of my buddies tried to join and gets the error "can't access to 127.0.0.1" ..Omnixor wrote:how didn't they make it? some error message? no server in serverlist? more info please...
any ideas?
Re: Can't create game properly.
127.0.0.1 is the IP address for localhost. That means your own computer identifies itself as 127.0.0.1UNDEADMANBEARPIG wrote:One of my buddies tried to join and gets the error "can't access to 127.0.0.1" ..Omnixor wrote:how didn't they make it? some error message? no server in serverlist? more info please...

Before opening the game did you forward your ports on your router?
2350 and 3450 have to be open definitely.
(You might want to check in your advanced settings on the network tab for the port numbers)

I don't see why it won't work,
people are telling me that I need to actually purchase a server in order to create a game, is this true?
Can I not just make a game myself and have people join? =/
Maybe I have to open up my firewall and make a certain change?

I am 100% sure you do not have to buy a server.UNDEADMANBEARPIG wrote:Yeah I opened everything I was supposed tofyem wrote:

I did use the start a game with some friends before and it worked without any problems.
turning off your firewall might help
Re: Can't create game properly.
I've run into this multiple times. I've also fixed it multiple times doing different things...which is worrying.
Anyway, since you've already forwarded your ports...run the maniaplanet exe and click on configure, then go to network settings, make sure "use local address" is not ticked. Also make sure nothing weird is going on there.
Also if you're on a router with a dynamic IP address and multiple computers on the network it's possible that the local address you forwarded the ports for is no longer your computer, but someone else's on the network. So you will have to go back into port forwarding settings for that.
