Elite et Royal "free standalone dlc" !

It's really a good news.
I can't buy them now, and this news came at a good time. I'm awaiting the same on TM2.


PS: Those who pre-ordered should be happy to have the full game!

For me the 16 euro is already well spent and enjoyed.

But I can't shake the feeling of being ripped off as the most loyal consumers, because when I bought the game there was zero indication of anything in the game at all being free (as was the case in the first MP gameTM2).
And seeing as I bought the game to continue playing Royal and Elite from the beta, it kind of came as a blow that all of a sudden you didn't have to pay anymore to play those modes.

Especially since you're duping the most loyal consumers (the ones who pre-ordered).

Therefore I think you should give players the option to cancel the pre-order (seeing as the game isn't released yet) and get their money back if they want.

So this is when you get your friends to try it out, and if they like it..to BUY the game, and continue with the countless gamemodes and maps that are available.

Exclude everyone from trying it and hope they buy it with their "instinct"?

there's 3-6 months till release. and the restrictions are that only two modes will be available. also all editors won't probably be available.

Im not against it being free, just the way they announce it AFTER a lot of people already purchased it, while some of those people only might play elite anyway. Just not classy.

They never said anywhere that it was going to be a F2P.
All the video said was "Open to the public at launch" and everyone is assuming the worst. Maybe that is just a fancier way of giving people the "beta keys" you speak of. As who would want a BETA key, at LAUNCH?
And how would Nadeo make any kind of income if everyone only played the "Demo" version? Maybe they only made the decision to let people try it for free recently? My guess is as good as yours.
Yet everyone demands a refund because some people get to play (a small portion of) the game for free.
There's still: Time attack, Siege, Battle, Team Royal, Melee, Infection, Vampire, Speedball, Domination, Joust, Heroes, Duels, Railgun Melee, Jailbreak, Sabotage
And ENDLESS amounts of maps, along with the Editor.
And new game modes are coming out all the time.

In a better world, we would have known exactly before the beta how the game would operate in competition and online. But to know it, we would have had to make a test phase before. And during this test phase, if we kept it private, some would have said that it is unfair they are out since they like the concept. So, we would have opened this phase to pre-order. Oh wait... this is a loop ^_^

I agree that it could have been better, but we still made our best for it. Also, I really hope you will enjoy the fullgame. And as far as privilege are concerned, there are that are linked to the fact that you have an account, as in Nations for example. And we will also provide additional stations to paying account for it, meaning that you will have 2 mores.

Anyway, judge at release if you are happy to have the full game and be sure we will do our best for it to be cool.
