So where do i go about getting a refund?.

After hearing this news, not only does this annoy and frustrate me i find it utterly ridiculous.

What kind of developer takes pre-orders on a game which is in beta and then WAITS till after people have pre-ordered to release information such as this.

I paid for this game for some early access and for the competitive gaming in Elite mode and i feel ive been ripped off. The devs attitudes stink covering up and coating their own comments in such a way to blame it on the users end as if THEY already knew what the were getting themselves involved in. I enjoy the game but knowing that ive paid my own money for it now to be given away for free infuriates me.

You can say that 16 euro is nothing more than pocket change but its the principle more than money.

if someone could advise me on how to go about getting a refund id appreciate it.

Never again will i support or buy a game from this company.

but all games that are at -75% are saying that from one day to another, what you bought on the day before just went down 75% of the price. On our side, we are saying that your game will have more value by bringing more people and keeping to improve it until release also on all the content that we will add. And we say it months before the arrival of a free entry at some points.

And in beta, a game changes: what if we decided just to remove the Elite mode in the beta and put another one? what if the Elite mode became something else?

We are trying to make the game as good as possible for players and people who pre-ordered as well. If you have doubt in the future on what you pre-order from us, I would like you to please wait for the release. But when we will release the game, I would like you to come back here and tell us if you are happy or not with the game. My bet is that it will be worth your 16€ (and the game is 20€ by the way, so you get a reduction for the risk) It will be worth it for the time you will play before and for the time you will play after with the content that is accessible with the full version.

If my bet is wrong, then I will gladly admit that you are right to never buy a game from us, since it is not about money but about principle.

Well to begin with i don't see what my post about steam summer sales has to do with anything related to this game? or anything on that matter that i post on my own personal facebook fan page?. I simply expressed my opinion on the matter and asked where i should head about getting a refund ?

Regarding it still being beta and the possibility of changing the Elite mode, If you even decided to change the way elite mode worked as it does now or even REMOVED it then i wouldn't be playing the game at all and i'd still want a refund. The issue i have is that i play solely for that game mode as i do not enjoy any other gamemode the game has to offer, and now that that gamemode is becoming F2P then why should even i have paid for the game at all? to try it out? pay my 16 euro to beta test a game for you? no.

You can sugarcoat all you want about the game becoming more popular but that does not interest me at this time. If the game EVER becomes as successful as you mention then i'd gladly re-pay the 16 euros, but as the game will be F2P why should i? I'd much rather have my money back and wait till the game is released for free to play.

I gain nothing more from the game being a person who pre-purchased it as like i mentioned before, i only play that game mode and im sure im not the only person who thinks the same.

About the summer deals... Have you realized that when you buy a game that goes on sale the day after, you have lost 75% of the amount you paid the day before? You do not seem to be against this type of practice, while you are against what we are doing without even knowing what with be at release, while you even bought a game still in deep beta test, and for many months.

For example, Crysis 2 is at -75% now. If someone bought it yesterday at 34,99€, but see this today, it means he has lost 26.25€ in a day. I did not saw you debate this principle.

I am sure other think the same as you, but it does not mean they are right. On my side, I know that more and more people who wanted the game that early will be happy at release with the game they pre-ordered. We even made a 20% discount also to thanks people who are getting the risk. But the real debate should be at release. Meanwhile, if we want to have this debate for real, and refund you if I was wrong, you need to stop to play the game until then. Tell me your login name please, if you want me to follow the activity you may have in the future on the game. Off course, it means that you can not make use of that money until then, but since it is a question of principle, this is not an issue.

If you are able to give me your understanding on promotions and the current situation, and follow the rules I suggested, I think we can have a real debate and see if we are wrong on the principle. For me, it matters a lot as well.

How is it different from MMOs going F2P after about 2 months or even Gotham City Imposters going F2P on Steam?

I mean I see his point about how it feels annoying for him, but things like this happen quite often.

Well first off to begin with, that logic on steam sales doesn't even remotely effect me in the slightest as i only purchase games IN sales and when at the highest % off. How can you even compare games which have been RELEASED to games which are still in BETA?. I'd have no problem knowing a game was going free to play maybe a year or so AFTER i had bought a game because i'd have got my monies worth but the fact is as you mentioned, this game is in "DEEP BETA" and you're already changing the model to FREE TO PLAY then how is that even comparable?.

In response to your message about logging my activity, how is that even going to accomplish anything? will it make you personally feel better about yourself?. I only mentioned i will not support/buy any future games by your company. I never said i won't stop playing it, i only posted my opinion on the matter and request information as to where i would go to ask about a refund.

And as to the post about MMO's going F2P, do you people read and think about information before you post it. How does a game which you've been paying monthly for to gear up a character even compare to this? Most MMO F2P models are restricted in the sense you cannot do EVERYTHING a subscriber can do to give people the option of continue playing the rest of the game which is what this company should be doing. Not giving away one of the main features people play the game for such as elite which many have bought purely to play that one game mode and support it in esports and to support the company to then be told its being given away for FREE before the game is even released.

Anyways, i'm done with this. I've already had response i cannot get a refund ( which is BS ) so there really isnt much more to talk about. Next time please just read what i have to say instead comparing it to stuff that isn't even relevant to the subject at hand.

I just hope you know that atleast one of your "customers" is peeved off and running a business like this will only effect yourselfs in the long run. As mentioned before, i will not be buying any games from this company again.

I think you miss my points.

I said that if you really want to stop to play until release and after, then I would look after trying to make you a refund at release. The game is not F2P. It is a part that is accessible.

By the way, if you only play with the part that could have been in a demo or even removed, you did not pre-ordered, we are not speaking about acquiring ShootMania Storm, but Elite. We did not sold Elite at 16€.

What about promotions during pre-orders like most publishers do nowadays, at various time during the pre-order?

I am not extraordinary happy, but I'm also NOT pissed off. As you said Hylis, we bought ShootMania : Storm for 16 Euro and not Elite for 16 Euro.

So if it would be another game mode that was free you would be absolutely fine with it. What about the people who only play that game mode? And the fact that you bought , actually PRE ordered a game that you were only planning on planning 20% of is just kind of silly. Play some other game modes, try the time-attack, siege and even Elite exp. Get your moneys worth and I guarantee you will be satisfied
