I liked the puzzle, ye. But i REALLY thought this would be like 'attention - tm² is coming'. Then Hylis/Florent wrote:
God. Again more then 2 months till E3 starts. Tm² beta will start somedays after that...somedays...somemonths...2012. i'm exaggerating a lot - i know - but the fact is that i hate how you want to motivate the tm-community and then - in the next second - demotivate them (at least me) again. At least it is after E3, but how many weeks is still to be determined.
Examples:
1.) 19.09.2009 - the day i read about tm². release Q4 2010. more then 1 year and 3 months to go - that's at least ~400 days. trailer showed driving cars, a track and good graphics. so at this time there was already a quite playable (lil) version.
2.) new trailer (can't remember which day i saw it - already forgetting about tm² again because of 'no-news' for serveral months) saying beta = Q4 2010. i googled 'tm² beta' nearly every day in October, same for November. Just to hear in December that there won't be any beta in 2010. Great.
Maybe they start it in February - i talked to myself...
Some people were guessing about March. Now we have April and we know that there won't be any beta in May! Maybe June, maybe never (exaggerating again.) ah or maybe 'soon - very soon' (how it's written on the tm² page).
It's just, tm 'died' for me at the end of 2009 and i know a lot of players also did the same and said goodbye to tm. From these days on only hacks and new hacks made the game interesting for me again. Let's say a week. Let's say 'that's not enough'.
Now we know that tm might be released in summer. my final question is: why when it's hot and beautiful outside. why when you can go swimming, ride with your (motor-)bike, meet friends and chill somewhere in the sun? why should i waste my time at the pc instead of enjoying the best 'going outside' time in the year outside. You can even release it (= the beat, who knows when the official game will be released...) Q3 2011 then and letting me get brown from the sun than being white like a dead man's body because i stayed the whole summer inside.
i really, really love trackmania and it still is the best game i've ever played but you keep on going that i compare tm to a long gone friend instead of wishing to meet him again.
That's some words to read. Maybe no one will do - i don't care but that's what i really wanted to say: thanks for the puzzle but also a nicely said 'f*ck you' for the two words 'after' and 'e3'.
cheers, the lost one, the sad one, a trackmaniac.
