It requires more work from us than a simple cube, but we think it is better for the game. You simply have to wait. If you want the full set as soon as you start, please wait for the release of the game. If you want to be part of players to provide positive and constructive feedbacks, you are welcome.

I feel like playing a theater piece :roflol:
I think this is your chance to controll the thread! Just tell people what they should ask! :roflol:

btw, in one of the Shoot Mania trailers I saw some weird gray blocks with like glowing lights or something (I can't remember exactly, but I think that was in the trailer telling us that we could finally buy the game). Are those coming inthe maniaplanet 2 update?

Haha, you are right

about the blocks in the video, we are used to tried some blocs and either keep them for later in order to potentially expand the set or modify/change the approach. A historic example are the blocs on the cover of the first TM box. You had concrete bordered curved slopes on the front but they were replace by fully curved alpha material in order to avoid camera clipping. The game evolves on itself by iteration with removal or addition of stuff until release. Sometimes we also go back to better jump after ^_^

so if i get this right, one of the reasons there is no floating block is the fact people not playing the game won't be able to see what's happening ingame??
there's loads of workarounds for that.

What made trackmania be MANIA was the insane use of loops and block combos
shootmania currently is shoot without the mania as it's a little too basic in terms of making interesting maps as every map looks like a combo of de_dust without crates and c&c renegade without vehicles.

i'd really like floating blocks just to build roofs for various theme potentials: a crashed sci-fi plane, a warehouse raid etc etc.. potential is everywhere.

ehr.. yep. although this rant clearly doesn't add a lot to this topic, i fully agree.
Nadeo replies on the forum topics but doesn't do anything with it other than bookmark it for later use.
(how many times do you use the older bookmarks in your browser? right, almost none)

anyways just thought of the following:
If you care so much about how the game looks, a floating block (yes, just a square 1 high full width concrete block) will look much better than a puzzleblock combined by 4 alternate ones through the use of blockmixing. (and also increases stability of your precious)

And no: we don't want a raster block you can shoot or look through
