The first time ever I saw of TrackMania was in a Scholastic book order pamphlet that had an image in it that looked similar to this, if not this exactly:

I don't remember seeing any screens of TrackMania prior to playing the leaked demo in October 2003. (Holy sh... almost 8 years ago! )

I bought a gaming magazine, which had a story about a game of trucks.
The "problem" is that the magazine had run out of stock. And I saw one, about racing games, which came with TrackMania Sunrise demo of toast on a CD.
If it was not failure of the store would never know that TrackMania is so good!

Unfortunately it was not possible to display images differently.
