One thing you could do is making the virtual money possible to buy environments. But free would be best. Team Fortress 2 for example shows that it is possible to bring out free updates regularly.
But I trust in you guys ;) and I believe you make the most costomer friendly platform you can get.
Well i'm willing to pay if they are nice! But i hope they won't sell each environment for high price ^^ ;)

TF2 updates are much smaller. Nadeo has done that sort of thing too with PowerUp and TMS Extreme and the Forever update.

There is no way these environments will not cost money. That's just not possible at all.
I only hope for some kind of packs yo can buy for exmple a "full" pack with all upcomming tm² environments (or just the next 3 maybe)
and I hope they will be sold regularly through stores and not just online payment, then everything's fine :)

reading between the lines: TM2 release in 2010
I just read the beta will be released in 2010 ;)

But at least the two enviroments seem to be currently in progress (or already finished?), so they could be finished without difficultly at the end of this year, why releasing one environment after the other?

i think the price will probabbly end up being fair, whats the going rate for expansions these days (say map packs its about £7). id expect anything in that range for a new environment experience but they have to look like they havent been taken out of the game to be sold later.

From what ive read the constant increase of new environments sounds pretty nice as long as they can be unique from each other (something like the sunrise split).

We don't know how fast they can make those environments, it looks pretty advanced to me!

however having each env slitted from the other has a negative because it will be a bit hard to host servers with multyple env because if someone dosen't have one env he will not be able to play to that server at all... exept if nadeo has already fixed that. for example a player when a env comes that he dosen't have he may be switched to a special spectator zone untill a env he can play comes

Thanks for the info, but this confused some of us a bit! When you say
1.2.2011 - 1. envi TM²
does that mean the first TM2 environment ever, so the first TM2 release, or the first additional environment after TM2 release (which already has one environment)?

Your French post said it would launch with 1 environment per game, while the English one says it's 1 environment for 1 game. Can you clarify which one it is please? ;)

the best scenario would be the first one (well organized) but maybe we can release an extra one on the first year, or only three. Once the story starts, I don't think we will wait 9 months for a new tm² env, but maybe 3 months for a new maniaplanet env, even if people can skip one if they don't like or the last ones if they are less interested.

so, this
1.2.2011 - 1. envi TM²
1.5.2011 - 1. envi SM
1.8.2011 - 1. envi QM
1.11.2011 - 2. envi TM²
1.2.2012 - 2. envi SM
1.4. 2012 - 2. envi QM
1.8. 2012 - 3. envi TM²

How do we know, that we don't like an environment and is it possible to grant the buyer of an environment a 1 or 2 hour demo for each new environment in order to decide whether I like it or not?

Creating a permanent Demoversion for each envi would reveal too much of the game series, so I doubt that you will create one.

A 2 hour ticket would be enough for me to decide whether I like it or not ....

Zooz is quite right ^_^

We have some blocks in advance, but it is better for you that we release later, since we will work on the environments of the upcoming year in the available time. Environment production cost around 8 times more today than on Original. It is not an excuse since we try to bring even more players in, but it is just to give you an idea. Meanwhile, the price may go from obligatory 45€ for three environments to 3xoptionnal 20€. In addition, you can probably buy a pack of planets to get a small reduction or you can make manialink more active ^_^

Anyway, I don't want to get too much into the details because it can change. I have decided to say my status now, but it could be annoying to discuss all this. It is a little like with the DRM, I have not yet started to make my opinion that I have to debate on what could be a protection system next year. For me, it is a little too early to discuss about this.

@mammbos: I think hosting solution will be done by itself. We will most likely see 'all env' hosting or 'single env' The first one will be compatible with the regular players (who really benefit and like having diversity) or passerby or specialists (who rather concentrate on one environment to say)
