Can't run maniaplanet

I'm pretty much having two problems at the same time.
I tried playing Trackmania 2 the other day (through the account url) and it updated. The launcher came up, I pressed play, and nothing happened. It's running in the background, but nothing's actually on the screen. This has happened to me before, and the only solution I know of is to run it through maniaplanet://.
I tried it, but it says I still have to restart my game for the update to work. So... now what?
I'm running Windows 7 64bit, all my drivers are updated.

So what am I supposed to do? Just wait until it's fixed?

In the French part of the forum, one user was successfull with uninstalling ManiaPlanet completely,
and then using the newer setup which is available on the player page http://login.maniaplanet.com/

Hi,
Make sure that ur W7's update is clean and yes, prefers download the game trought ur player's page.
Not certainly, but maybe a problem due to sound card or driver with the last update of maniaplanet crash the game.
