...or is it? Stadium was announced after Valley, but that doesn't necessarily mean it comes after Valley (making it the 3rd). It could come before. Stadium could be the 2nd environment and Valley could be the 3rd. Or they could come simultaneously and then it wouldn't really matter.

Really, we don't know anything.

Why so mad you ask?

Because I quit playing tmu/stadium long before news of TM² came out. I've had a go at all the other environments but everybody in my buddy list was always only interested in stadium. I got frigging bored with stadium bacause the bugs and exploits and the overall track choice on servers(LOL and/or transition-hell-tracks). Then, indeed, the great news about TM² came along and it got me all excited, especialy because a good part of my buddies switched to TM² too and left tmu/stadium for death because it "feels funny" to drive stadium after you are used to Canyon. Canyon, imho is really the best envi ever although it lacks checkpoints and scenery. So, I don't welcome Stadium because it will just be more of the same boring old same and it will just take my buddies away.

It's interesting how everyone's experience is different.

Most of the people I've become buddies with in TM over the past 4+ years were either equally interested in United and TMNF or were United only players. Stadium was just one environment among many. I never went to LoL servers or the ilk.

If you're that scared that your buddies will all leave Valley and Canyon and only play Stadium, an environment you do not wish to play, then maybe you should get some new buddies. I personally don't plan to play it any more than Canyon. And I'm actually a bit more stoked for Valley.

But having Stadium in TM2 will also be a new start for me with this environment. I plan to focus on building some tracks I can really be proud to release.

Also, considering that Stadium is what got me into TM in the first place, I refuse to speak ill of it. I wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for this lovely environment.

And I don't see how it feels strange to play Stadium after playing Canyon. The physics are completely different. I played TMNF about a week ago on a mini tech server and it felt quite normal.

I hope you can learn to be happy for the community in general and not begrudge people's happiness over something you may not yourself enjoy.

@wiidesire-2, Regarding the gamer.no info... yes I saw that... but I wouldn't call that official. Some news sites are also saying that Stadium will be free, while people at Nadeo deny that a decision has been made about the pricing yet.

So you see why I'm a bit wary about news sites. They seem to assume too much lately. I'll wait until I hear it directly from Nadeo.

I guess you're right. And yes, I'm stoked for Valley aswell but I'm affraid Stadium will overshadow it.

I understand you completely. You really don't know if you can believe such things in articles. In Germany it is getting really bad on news sites. For example on winfuture.de or computerbase.de 30% of the Articles are just based on rumors and or other sites, who say they got in from an "secret source". The best examples here are new "leaked" informations about new smartphones for example the new Samsung Galaxy S4 (just an example).

I was also wondering if this news site just wrote it based on nothing, but I think its plausible. Think like that:

If Stadium and Valley aren't released simultaneously, why did they publish the trailers on the same day? If Stadium for example would come later than Valley then I think they would first publish the Valley trailer and then the Stadium trailer. Otherwise they would just raise false hopes.

Because it was the best time to announce this? Stadium has been made for the ESWC, and announce TM² Stadium at the ESWC was the best moment I think.

Stadium and Valley are for Q1 2013 (beta and/or release, we don't know).


The best place after here to have only valid information is on Mania-Actu (It's just for troll another website, like the website who announce vehicules on Storm, 6 months ago )
