Right now, if you leave "display car names" on in the MediaTracker, and then go to render the video... it will place the tag at the corner of the map instead of above the car. It's been reported before, but MediaTracker didn't seem to be a huge priority for the last couple titles. I hope that changes for the upcoming titles.
If this feature isn't fixed by the time the next beta starts, I intend to report it again.
I'm very excited for this game as well, why? Players
if this game really gonna be free then we will have alot more players on Maniaplanet and things will go alot better, and with this they will probably get inspired to buy TM2 Valley, Canyon and Shootmania too, I'm really sure that will happen, and besides, Maniaplanet exists to handle millions of players, so bring it on TM2 Stadium

this one is a bug, and should be fix more quickly than making the whole interface stuff.

Just can't wait for the game. It really gives players a reason to come back . I wish that the game will stay the same but with more players, that's the only thing that got me away from United, the lack of players. If the game will still be free to play i would really love if the developers would drop the spec round and the coppers for a server since those changes really left united uninhabited. All my friends left... everyone left after those changes. So in the end i had no one to brag about my "awesome" times. The once great community vanished and that was trackmanias strongest point . Those changes left mostly the best players in the game. So if you're going to talk about the 12 million players, drop those restrictions. I've been here since Nations and i believe i'm speaking for everyone.
I was also wandering if people that own united will get premium features in TM 2 Stadium or a discount for premium?

Mmmm .. I'm not sure if it is going to be totally unrestricted free TM2 Stadium for all as Nadeo will end up with the same problem as in TM1 (TMNF/TMUF) with people downloading the unrestricted 'free' copy but not buying or supporting Nadeo in any way..... do we want a TM2 Stadium Freezone?? ... and if there is a totally unrestricted free ' TM2 Stadium' for all then will there be a totally unrestricted free Elite for SM and a totally unrestricted free envi of QM???
A totally free unrestricted TM2 Stadium could be just for those who have purchased one of the other environments (Canyons, Valley whatever) first. Alternatively, there could be a restricted 'offline demo' version of the TM2 Stadium envi to encourage players to buy and this wouldn't affect the other players playing online like the Freezone did. We'll just have to see what Nadeo decide.
if they have a good system to place advertisements it shouldn't be a problem, also the community does host the server and nadeo only the master server.
TM2 isn't that 'well advertised' and unfortunately it costs money to advertise. It's a kind of 'Catch 22' situation really . A free downloadable demo, restricted to off-line, shouldn't cost the earth tho and would certainly give people a good taste of the graphics and handling. Off-line demos were always great in the past and now they can be downloaded instead so no manufacturing

Trackmania has never been that way. Advertising within Trackmania 2 Stadium for other nadeo/ubisoft products and other things would be an idea but they also need to add the same restrictions as nations forever had in the beginning (access to all servers for rounds/time attack, don't give players the possibility to use: custom cars, avatars, coppers, custom tag ), that way the game will have a very large player database and the advertisement will get them a lot of money. Not a lot of players are going to come back if they keep those limitations. I know for a fact that none of my friends will and as i said before , that is the games biggest point its community . Nadeos restrictions hurt more the gamers that bought the game than those that haven't. In the end it felt like trackmanias great community wasn't there anymore.
