[TM2]: SOUND: (sound issues)
What is the Bug? Sound is sometimes missing after starting Mania Planet
How can I reproduce it? I can't really reproduce it on purpose. If I don't have sound I quit Mania Planet and restart it. After that most of the time the sound is fixed. I have no problems with sound with any other game or application.
What is my expectation of this bug? Sound will work every time.

is it possible that you tried switching between sound devices after starting MP ? If so, don't be surprised, MP has failed to produce any sound if you've done so.

No I didn't change sound devices as I only have one. Today I had to restart MP 5 times before I finally got the sound to come on. Restarting MP is the only thing I have been doing to get the sound working. I haven't messed with the drivers or anything like that since all other programs I have tried have audio.

Did you try to set the audio settings of ManiaPlanet (check the configuration in the launcher) to normal (medium) instead of high?

Do you also observe visible stuttering of the movies?
Then most probably your system is not suitable for them, and recoding also usually recompresses and makes movies smaller.
Btw. AVI is not a codec, it is a file format
Whiche dimensions do the vidoes have?
