uploading tracks

So I'm relatively new to TM2, but I've made some tracks I think are nice and want to share them with others. How do i get my tracks out there so others can play? Do I have to create my own server and host a multiplayer event, or can I upload my tracks to somewhere else so others can select them to play.
I often play on the servers named VeryShort:) or Full.SpeeD:) and you can often rate the tracks afterwards. So where do they get the tracks that are played on those servers? Is it the same set all the time? Can I upload tracks for them to play?
Sorry I'm kinda clueless. I can't seem to host an event myself due to firewall issues, but wondered if there was another way others could play my tracks.

Most tracks are uploaded and downloaded from this site http://tm.mania-exchange.com
Check also the general help and forum to find out lots of interesting stuff as a mapbuilder

Yup, HaagseSmurf's suggestion is most likely the best first step to do, use MX and its forum.

You could also consider ingame promotion: It would be ideal to have tracks on a server, like you said. Maybe go on your favorite servers, see if an admin etc. is there and just ask, whether you could send them your track. Other ways of sharing tracks ingame are ManiaLinks from which others could play your tracks instantly or even own titles that include your tracks in a solo campaign.
