[B2.0] Painter does not load skin well[fixed next version]

Post by TMarc »

Which ever skin I chose to be painted, and it doesn't matter if it is an original skin or a skin painted myself, it first appeards black in the painter. And I also tried to save a new skin, loading fails also for this.

But: as soon as I press the the circular arrow to "Reload the skin previously saved", the skin is there! Magic?

So the error can't be such difficult to solve

Could you reproduce this again (you can do it several times), quit the game and post your game log here, please ?
Thanks

it's reproducible all the time,
and now if I look in the crashlog, there is a issue because of some missing skin, of the title Pack Acrobatic I had installed a while before the update.
Is it not compatible?

In the folder where the skins are saved I can see many tmp files for all attempts to save skins, which contain a zip basically.
This issue we alreday had last time, right? I mean with the zips not able to be renamed properly...

I have tried to remove the Acrobatic title from the stations menu, but still the skins are not loaded and not saved properly.
Only after I deleted all files (I also tried to rename the pack.gbx, but it did not help) the skins were saved properly again.

But: the loading issue still persists.

Ok I got it, the issue is linked with the launcher's TextureQuality (you've Medium).
You can work around the bug by setting TextureQuality=High(=Max).
I'll work on it for next version.
Thanks

Aha!
I can confirm, it is working fine now after setting to high

Indeed I was using only medium on my laptop.
On the other PC I have high setting, but it is temporarily out of order.
I would not have discovered this on the other machine

Thanks for your reply! :thx:
