It's not a problem with P2P or locators.

Even if other players have dead standard nadeo cars. They will show grey.

Pity this happened before xmas, guess a lot of ppl made some nice skins, but only they can see them. Ah well.

The actual problem is that the information about the skins is not exchanged between the players (at least there is no hint about skins in maniaplanet logfile), and that user skins are cannot be downloaded (the logfile shows P2P connection errors for all connected players) from the other player's computers.

My theory is: a lot of network related code was modified, and it was only done for and tested with ShootMania. Since there is no skin painter at the moment there, there is also no possibility to exchange skins directly with ManiaPlanet game itself.
Or a port number has changed and now all firewalls are blocking it.

Really? what's going on? skins still don't show for everyone i know and i've been playing alot since then! :(
oh and i set my firewall to stop blocking any port, so that means it's not a changed port problem.

Unfortunately its not only skins, its also, horns and avatars.
