Is the masterserver down in North America??

Is there an issue with the masterserver right now in North America? A lot of players in North America including myself are only seeing less than half of the usual servers in Elite that are currently up, and are un-able to connect to most. It is a major issue effecting everyone over here right now. Could someone look in to this?

The master server infrastructure had another issue with a file system. It is up again, but many dedicated servers would have to connect again. We will probably implement an automatic re connection soon on the masterserver for this kind of trouble that was not really happening before.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and by the way, there will be a dedicated server update tomorrow with a new updated protocol that obliges to launch them again.

But there are people (my teammates) that see the other half of the servers I'm not seeing(as well as several other people arent seeing) and can connect and play on them. It's almost like a net-split if you're familiar with IRC terminology. Basically what I'm getting at is half the community can see half the servers and play on them and the other half can only see the other half of the servers and connect on those....
