My tracks have signs at the finish that I use for announcements. (for our smurfs server)
When I build the track, I add the images from an url. Then when I change the image that's located at the url, I still see the old image in game. I think it has to do with the player downloading the image from the server cache rather than from the original source.
I don't like it... if the player hasn't got the image in his own cache yet, why not download it from the original url?
When the url appears to be dead, then check if the server has the image cached.

The same counts for mods, by the way. Let the player download mods on a track from the original source, not from the server cache, saves a lot of data usage on servers.
Yep, that's a good one too. Would also be nice to have that fixed.

Possibility to edit the keymapping in the editor is coming too?

Some things from Eyebos long but well needed post...
eyebo wrote:Missing Functionality: We can delete tracks in-game from the file browser. Why can't we delete replays? It would save a lot of time when checking and organizing the thousands of replays that many of us have.

Odd Functionality: Why not send deleted maps and replays to the recycle bin instead of deleting them forever? It might save some distress for some of us who accidentally delete the wrong map or replay, which does happen occasionally.
I totally agree with these points. I've alt+tab ed to the desktop many times to move or remove a replay from a folder and I've deleted by accident things I could not recover. Frustrating.

Other things from Eyebos post:

- VIDEO RENDERING -Bug: TimeSpeed
I think a simple "Slow Motion" function would simplify the "Timespeed" effect IE: click "Slow Motion" set a speed (0.25 for 1/4th speed or 2.00 for twice as fast) and how long the effect lasts. It could even be variable from one marker to the next.

- TRACK EDITOR - Visual Annoyance:
I agree. It's hard at times to see some blocks with the highlighted marker.

- MENUS - Bug:
The dialog (not selected) bug bothers me as well. As does the lock up when adjusting volume during intros.

Wish: Add the ability to create and delete folders as well as move tracks or replays into and out of folders.
This would be a nice thing to have.

Hello ManiaPlanet!
I want to tell some words about MediaTracker, because it's very important for me because i spend 70% of Time in Trackmania in Media Tracker :)
Very important thing is Undo button. Sometimes i create epic cameras, but after one wrong click i can loose them
There is an imortant problem with replays from servers. Wheels on them don't spin.
Also I have problems with rendering. Don't know why but i can't change anti aliasing mode when i use The Best Quality, only FXAA. I tried to fix it by myself but notheng helped.

And in the end I would like to see another main menu style in all MP games. This 3D buttons look absolutely crappy.
Thanks for attention, Andriv

I tested this yesterday on my server and it appears to already be fixed. :) Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Very good post, eyebo!
I even agree on the wishlist

One more thing concerning the Track Editor:
Everytime I open a validated track with shadows in the editor, all the shadows are gone. Even if I just open it and change a little thing in the MT or want to improve my author time, the Editor forces me to recalculate shadows!
This is very annoying, especially on high quality shadows which take a lot of time to calculate :?

I would like to see a quick-save button in the editor.
Not having to click through 4 or 5 menus.
Or is there already some sort of script for this that I don't know of?

And the motionblur when taking screenshots needs a fix. It doesn't work in it's entirety.

Thanks :)

This has bugged me for a long time. And even though I've got used to it, I'd still like to see it changed.

The author time on this map is 56.20. But the map info on the right shows the Gold medal time 1:00.00. That's fine, except that the icon next to the time is the green icon for the author time. It's a small thing, but somewhat misleading.

Not the highest priorities, but something taking away from variety ingame and I find myself missing are the custom skinz and unique car models and sounds. Was really hoping todays fix would correct these that have been missing since before christmas when that big update occured and made all opponents grey and exactly the same in appearance and sounds.

I also find the z-buffer error annoying at times (flashing polygon from two polys trying to occupy the same space at one on track surfaces etc.

This is not z-buffer error since the surface is the same. Mostly caused by usage of unlimiter. Since this is not a official tool there is also no fix possible for the case where some blocks are superposed :|
