After personally experiencing some serious framerate problems with my SLI setup and reading the crossfire thread, it is clear that ShootMania has serious issues with machines utilizing multiple graphics boards in sli/crossfire.
So I've started this thread to keep track of this, Post your setups and what kind of numbers you're getting.
As for me:
Intel Core i7 950
3x GTX 580 in 3-way SLI (301.42 drivers)
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
With this setup and current beta build (As of 7/10/2012) I get on average 8 FPS, Disabling SLI bumps this up to 136.
It would be interesting to see if this carries over to dual GPU cards like the 590, As you cannot disable the on-board SLI this game may be entirely unplayable on setups using these cards.

Re: Extremely Poor Multi-GPU performance
I can't tell for the studio but at the moment the computers with a triple sli are very rare that's why that the game may have issues with this kind of configuration (but we don't have much trouble with a standard sli/crossfire).
But if you don't have any issues when you run it without the sli activated, you should maybe modify/create a profile in the Nvidia control panel and deactivate it when you run the game for the moment

Re: Extremely Poor Multi-GPU performance
I am getting 50-90 fps with my rig. Watching my GPU temps, one climbs noticeably while the other remains unchanged from idle temps. I would assume that my 2nd card isn't even being utilized.

Re: Extremely Poor Multi-GPU performance
I understand his point, but at the same time people using nvidia 3 way sli with surround cant use the control panel to limit the game to use 1 card. In 2 way sli you can do this, but nvidia's great logic wont allow this option in 3 way sli. I know its an nvidia oversight, but should we really be punished for having awesome rigs? Oh and numbers wise i get an avergae 170 fps on 1 gtx 580 3gb high textures no aliasing, no anfiltering. With msi afterburner im getting about 60% gpu usage. Funny part is 2 way sli gtx 580 usage drops to 30% on each card same fps...I can't tell for the studio but at the moment the computers with a triple sli are very rare that's why that the game may have issues with this kind of configuration (but we don't have much trouble with a standard sli/crossfire).

Re: Extremely Poor Multi-GPU performance
I can confirm that SLI scales extremely poorly on ManiaPlanet 2.0.
I've got two GTX 680 in SLI, and in any map I got something like 20-40 FPS with average GPU usage on both cards.
I had to edit the Nvidia profile with NvInspector to disable the SLI compatibility for ManiaPlanet.exe (by editing the TrackMania 2: Canyon profile) and force the SLI mode to SINGLE instead of AFR2.
Now I get 60 FPS all the time and variable GPU usage depending on the scene load, on the first card only of course.
I hope Nvidia will update ManiaPlanet's SLI profile, as non-aware users will have low FPS during the beta.

Re: Extremely Poor Multi-GPU performance
I have the same problem with my 5970, so it's not just a SLI problem.

Re: Extremely Poor Multi-GPU performance
By searching the forum I've found this topic and I tried the 0x00500045 SLI Compatiblity Bits value, and now it runs better with both cards
If Nadeo is close enough to Nvidia's devs, maybe they can pass it to them, as it seems to work for many people with SLI.

Hi , good research man !! You are a champion my friend !
Config 2009:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 (2,6 ghz) + 8gig Ram corsair + Motherboard gigabyte crossfire! + Hyper Sli 0.96 + Sli GTX 460 1g => res. 1920/1080 = 120/145 fps
