How can you say something failed when it isn't even finished yet?
TM on steam? No.
And as far as content goes, MP is set up so content can be added by the community, so content possibilities are limitless.
I would like to see more official modes and blocks in time though.

Sorry, but that's something that is not be defended.

If it isn't finished, then don't sell it.
Simple as that.

As i'm forced to use Maniaplanet to launch TM² (and also TMU:F although i don't know if this
is the same Maniaplanet as i haven't played that for over a year now) i simply can't accept
"that it's not finished yet".

But if you show me a way to avoid Maniaplanet and launch TM² and TMU:F without it,
then everything i said about MP in the past can be erased by mods.

this post shows you don't have a clue about what is TM now. launch TMUF from maniaplanet? that's hilarious. and there is no tm², there is canyon title. and it's only launchable through maniaplanet.

TM² is part of the "Maniaplanet" System. A system that includes TM, SM and QM. Element of that system have not even been introduced yet and the Maniaplanet System is in constant evolution to accommodate best all aspects of the games and modes.
Also the Maniaplanet system of games is a unique way of gaming so IMO it can't really be compared to anything else out there.

It's not finished yet = true.
I don't know what it says if you buy Canyon now but when I bought beta 0.4 I knew it was going to be a bumpy ride. I guess though that we all must agree it takes much longer then expected.

No marketing = true
On the other hand since it's not finished yet, why would you have a big costly media campaign if you don't have much to offer yet?

Only one mode = false
There's the stunt title free for download and there are plenty of other titles you can put your energy in.

Ripp off = definitly false
I guess our 20 euro's helped Nadeo through the winter and I'm confident more and more and in time even more content will come along.

The magic word is, however anoying, patience.

I think this clearly describes the ManiaPlanet system

Well, I guess that is one of the things you'll have to live with... ;)

Exact!

And not to forget: if the players chose to use the same login for all ManiaPlanet games, they can use the planets earned on the games he/she is good also for things on the games where the he/she is weaker. This will certainly become very interesting with QuestMania

The microcurrency system with the Planets is a bit difficult to understand especially when it comes to the Economical Points, agreed, but this has been simplified recently.
And it is there to avoid that people invest and lose (too much) real money.
So it is more honest than all the other "free-to-play"-games where you have to pay real cash to buy improvements. Money driven "rank busting" is not possible in ManiaPlanet.
However, people who are hosting and managing servers don't directly get money from the players, so the admins should be supported using different channels if we want them to keep healthy ;)

There's platform and it doesn't work as an error comes as soon as you finish the track.

40€ gave me 7 environments and 10 modes (if you really take everything into account) back then.
It's rather difficult to compare that with TM²:Canyon for the 20€.
Like i said - i bought Canyon because it's Trackmania, but still i have to say i'm expecting to get way more
Trackmania than what's there for now, and i expect that to be for free for Canyon owners.[/quote]

In the past year not much happened TM-wise ...
And no, i don't care about SM, QM or Maniaplanet.
Actually i expected Valley to be released by now ...
