It's funny you should mention CC in this example. 3 defenders with laser and decent aim. Now tell me, how do you get onto the map and not die (without going underground)?

Please enlighten me about your fantastic strategy for this. You don't have to play to understand this is gonna be bad in terms of balance. Sure you might require new maps considering it's new gameplay mechanics and all, but stop saying "YOU MUST play more before you judge".

Some things are just plain obvious after a few minutes of play.

Lol, Zell and Ratskiller, and all others who support these changes.

I find it funny how you guys keep bashing people who are just just saying that they don't like these changes just because they haven't had a day or whatever you guys say it's "NEEDED" to understand this and that. Who the hell are you to judge anyone's opinions after really having tested it and disliking it? Who the fuck are you to call every single person who dislikes a "kid" ? Whew, I thought this should be the place where people would transmit their thoughts to the developers and not be judged about it by other people, just because they have different ideals. Call me a retard, call me whatever you want, but you will only lower your level of intelligence. ;)

Before the patch being released I kind of got it, yea people still hadn't tested it and were already whining, I also bashed some people for that, but because it was stupid to flame it before even testing, but after testing it, I don't think it's good, heck, I find it quite horrible and non-balanced. Why? I'll tell you why ;)

1. The maps. The maps are very hard to make both defence and attack seem "balanced" as you say. Until now I have only seen skill-less camping at a pole and then doing a Nucleus spam (which is kind of impossible to dodge while at the pole), I have seen brain-less rushes where all 3 defenders had a rail gun, which was a sure death to the attacker, and even more because of that thing where if you hit you get 50% of the rail gun charged already, I have seen maps where the score would last up to 13-13 and not a single attack had been successful.

These new updates are obviously making the defence way too over-powered, and putting in an attack is almost impossible now, as clumsy and brainless tactics are starting to prevail.

2. As some here said, nucleus is not useless, I think it's over-powered as well if used in mass while playing as a defender. I have tested it already, and unlike when you are facing rockets, where you get an instant rail gun recharge, if you hit the nucleuses it's just like a normal shot, where it takes the normal rate to reload. Why? I have no clue! This just makes it unbalanced at such a high level that as I stated here before, a nucleus "shower" is just the thing that kills you so often that it makes me disgusted, trust me, I have tested it, seen other people test it too and having the same opinion as I do.

3. This is the first update I'm not really understanding and I know why. On the other updates where the walljump, the laser vs. rocket and such things appeared, they were a bit hard to get used to, but when I strted to try understanding them, I actually could do something, hell, I learned walljumping in 15 minutes or so. Still, this update makes me think that people that play this REALLY competitively (and some others that don't), will just keep on playing on the old Elite mode, the one that is by far the most balanced, and I can already predict organizations such as ESL and IPL making it mandatory to play on the Elite Beta 2 gameplay, because unlike some people here that have this wrong idea of "balance", they can understand that the previous mode is just the most balanced we have until now.

@Nadeo, I hope you get my point of view. Obviously you have to try pleasing everyone, but I think that the competitive as well as the fun-based future of this game lies on keeping the old structure for Elite, and I hope you will change that back to default mode.

Some other things that I would like to comment:

-Walljumps: Not a big change, but I think it's good, and congratulations on that, it's awesome ;)
-Sounds: The sounds are alot better, and I can now actually calculate where the sound is coming from, great job in there as well ;)
-Graphics: I have seen some maps that are darker now, and some others which are a bit lighter than before, does this have to do with having been made before this new patch? Also, when I check my Ping and the SnapShotDelta Time, I seem to be getting the following instead of the exact value : SnapShotDeltaTime:Label. What is this and why is the real snapshotdeltatime value "hidden" now?

I have nothing more to comment on now, tomorrow I will be checking the higher values on the graphics and see the fps drop while streaming, and then also make some comments about that. ;)

hello! I don't know why the sound were changed... you localised very nicely your ennemy with the previous sound.
Now , i'm walking on rocks and sands.. the sound hasn't sens....

Really? We have no problems switching to the B2 elite-mode on the servers we were on. Go to 'manage server' and at the bottom you can tick a box to select Beta 2 Elite gameplay. You might have to start playing or restart the map for the change to take effect, but it worked just fine for us.

So, I've played quite some and I'll drop my feedback.

1) **Textures/ FPS**
Okay, this is the best thing ever. I love the textures and I love the fps boost. The colors and everything look so good now. VERY well done. The whole game is so 'clean' now and its a big plus. I'm not gonna say more superlatives about it! :) KEEP!!

2) **Walljump**
As I stated in my latest feedback post I requested a bit more precision and not so random walljumps and now its here. I'm really glad that you listened to that. All the people that wants the old walljumps back I cant really understand. It was random and remember, we dont like random factors? :)! Keep / improve more(?)!!

3) **Sound**
I'm almost certain something has been done with the sound. Everything is so loud again, you can hear people really good. I dont know my feelings about it yet but I haven't been annoyed at it so far atleast. So I'll not gonna comment on it (yet).

4) **Weapons for defenders**
We did some practise matches with it and my answer is no, no no no. I really dislike it, and remember. I am going into everything with an open mindset. I just dont say it. I really do not think it's gonna work. It was really bad. The game is so much better without it. Remove!!

5) **Reloadtime after hit**
This however, I can see working. It's a nice feature which can be very usefull versus rushers. Maybe implent that but not the weapons for defenders. I could really see that work. I'm not sure about it for defenders though. Maybe give 1/3 of the rocket back. And that could work for Laser aswell. Keep / improve!

6) **MISC**
Scoreboard looks sexy!! KEEP!
I haven't seen so much else (yet). But i'll update with another post as soon as I've seen more stuff.


Beta 3 so far gets 3.9 out of 5 stars from me! ;)

We tried it but it have not worked.
Then it might be a setting on the server itself that disables the option to choose between B2 and B3 Elite? I honestly don't know, becuase I'm not the one in charge of our servers, but I've been on several servers and there's been no problems changing modes there.

I as alot of people do not agree with the current changes with defenders having lasers. But i would like it if nadeo changed the number of lasers per def to 1. That will mean the choise will have some kind of strategic purpose. The defender with rail can be really powerful but he can be singled out by the attacker. With current 3 rail setup. attack can only shoot at 1 of them and if he misses he has 3 rails coming his way. Currently with people who actually know how to aim playing the attacker dies within the first 5 seconds sometimes because of the way the maps are built. Every game becomes a peek fest. where attacker hides and crawls cover to cover to avoid rails. Railpads were enough and the faster reload time on railpads was already kinda bs. This is not a post written out of hate, i just want the game to be balanced. Nucleous can be balanced for def, Rails.. not especially not with the defender able to shoot 3 rails at the attacker in about 3 seconds. ofc if he hits the first one. But people who play this game at a high level, can easily do that. So yeah, please limit the rail and nucleous count to 1 per def team. That MIGHT work.. Also i oppose rails because the only way to kinda balance them is to give the symbol above their head which is basicly wallhacks. and i dont want wallhacks in my games... The end
