B2 version was very nice for Elite mode. Add nucleus and laser for defenser is a bit OP and change too much the game play I think, but it's not a bad idea.
Maybe you should nerf reload time or add CP for use nucleus like the laser block. it could be cool, near the flag, to have this (for defend or attack)
Also, I like the reload time for the attacker when he kill someone.

hi guys,
i want do some constructive improvements for the mode elite. NOT ALL CHANGES MUST BE DONE TO BALANCE IT, maybe some combinations do some positive effects. AND IT IS MY OPINION!

first:nucleus is much to powerful
--> reduce the splashdamage (it explodes much to early and the radius of damage is to high)
--> like mention before in some posts, increase the reloadtime at the last 15 seconds
--> nucleus do damage at teammates when they hit for avoiding spams
--> increase reloadtime when you hit someone

second: laser
--> reduce movementspeed of the carrier
--> increase reloadtime
--> only one member of the team can carrie a laser (like mention before in some posts)

rocketlauncher: well done!

attacker:
--> give the attacker a second shot when hiting a nucleus
--> reduce reloadtime of the laser
--> increase staminareload

it´s a good point. But when you are over 90.000LP the only way to improve is playing on sunday ROC at a specific time, so everyone that wants to improve have to be there, no matter if he´s from Australia or Brazil. You could do a continental ROC, like Americ ROC, Europe ROC in this case. But at the time it doesn´t seems worth with the lack of players in America or Asia for example.
So for Trackmania the old ladder seems to be better. :thumbsup:

Thought a bit about it and... as some have already commented it, there is a great potential in the new Elite mode.

To do:

1. Give it another name, Elite shouldn't change too much already
2. Make it 3v3! All rounds! Same maps. It sounds quite enjoyable for me, I would definitely try it.
3. Keep the current 'new' Elite settings - in 3v3 the attackers would have a chance, no balance issues, while the attacker team would still have a pole to capture, so has to keep moving - similar to Heroes

So, yes... this sucks. elite sucks. You should leave elite as it was before (perfect) and just make another gamemode with these changes... like seriously. I might stop playing if it the original elite stays like this. I was about to make a lan in my country of about like 20 people but i dont think so anymore, i know i can still play b2 elite, but it just discomforts me that the "original" elite gametype now is that one

I dont understand Nadeo, there are so many gamemodes u can improve or other parts of the game. and decide to "try" to make the best thing in the game better. Why fix what aint broken? new elite is so unbalanced and not fun to play. you should really take it out before open beta

+ im sorry Hylis but everyone plays with Beta 2 and disable beta3 on their serv, how can you have feedback if all the serv are running on beta 2 mode. This just shows how we see the laser in def.

You get 3 monsters with the rail against one, you have no way of managing an attack.

Everything is better but that.
On a high competitive level the option to choose the same weapon as the attacker just for being confronted with a wallhack in a 3on1 in exchange, ultimately renders this game in a solid camp-fest.

It'll end up in one scout without laser and 2 well placed lasers, which cover each other, hence even though the attacker is in the know of the two laser positions, it won't help him - the attacker will always have to avoid the unveiled two lasers, whilst the non-laser scouter is simply keeping an eye on the single attacker untill the time runs out - fin ! Ultimate win all the time for the def as long as the scout doesn't gets knocked out. Even if, he'll still face 2 high-skilled instagib players who will avoid runnin' around corners or open spots.

So all you do with this "options" is reducing the pace of the game.

Basically make b2 Elite the Standard and let the b3 Elite thing become something like "Tank" Mode or something, as that's what this ultimately ends up in, a huge 3-man, one-shot-kill tank the attacker has to face !

Hey!

Im having a problem, dunno if its known or not.
The new textures flickering for me. The tree's are black and they'r flashing like lightning.
Any Ideas?

plz read the comments before you post the same as many others without any constructiv opinions. and my personaly opinion is, that you cant extort nadeo to change elite mode back, because you stop playing the game and dont organise a 20 player lan, LOL!

guess nadeo will not go back to old elite mode! so plz stop writing this sensless comments. its better to help with constructiv comments to go further, we all know that the old elite mode was very good balanced and some cant understand why nadeo makes this changes, but the changes are here and we have to help to turn it in to better ones. :thumbsup:

I want to say that this amended walljump is a huge improvement! It does restrict some former use of it, but the precision certainly compensates for it. :thumbsup:

The dialogue confirming server leave is an overkill - too many actions (esc - exit - quit - ok). Just make it as it was; if I want to add a server to favourites, I certainly won't forget to perform the action on my own, without those additional reminders.

Buddy chat still requires setting status to "busy" every time.

Utzutz utters absolutely reasonable and true words. :P
