Portable version of Maniaplanet
Is it possible to make a portable version of maniaplanet (on pendrive for example). Can someone help me doing it? I'd be very grateful.

I doubt it is possible, because of the register keys ManiaPlanet needs to run (properly).Qitay wrote:Is it possible to make a portable version of maniaplanet (on pendrive for example). Can someone help me doing it? I'd be very grateful.
Only way is to install ManiaPlanet everywhere ^^ (and download the titles you are allowed to have when you login with your account)

One player was successful using a external drive for all the game data at the same locatoon, but he had to install it on all his PCs.

Re: Portable version of Maniaplanet
ManiaPlanet is portable. You just need to copy the 3 folders and adapt the Nadeo.ini file. That's all.

Thanks for responses. I managed to make it work but I'd like to know if there is a possiblity to make a pendrive directory more "static". Because every time I want to play it on a different computer I need to change the directory in the ini file to match that one on the another PC. It's not a big problem but I want to make it more convenient

Install it on all PC, and then change the folders to match the pendrive using the help menu of the Launcher

Re: Portable version of Maniaplanet
I think you missed my point. I wanted to play from pendrive because I don't want to instal it, for example when I want to play it on my friend's PC or anywhere else. If I had it installed on all the computers why would I need it on pendrive?
But thanks for trying to help.

I thought you already had installed it on all your PCs where you want to play it,Qitay wrote:Thanks for responses. and only take the profile with skins and maps along.
I guess you only have to make sure the pendrive always has the same drive letter everywhere, then you won't need to modify the ini then.
Or you use a batch or AutoIt script to modify the ini according to the actually selected drive.
What about this?
