Ok Hylis I didn't see that topic, my bad, you do like Steam ^^
I had concluded that after seeing you message saying that Steam doesn't take care of players as much as you and quoting someone complaining about (Steam's) servers reboots during competitions...Did you find a way to avoid that dependency?

But it still makes me wonder, why is there a Game Hub for Shootmania: Storm in there?

Can you let us know which outlets this promo is available?
The game is unnanounced on Steam at the moment. If it arrives, it will be later.

Only one thing annoys me a here. If, finally, we spend the work required to overcome the first point and decide that it is better for consumer, finally, to go with the second ones, it means that we may try to put Maniaplanet on Steam. At this moment, if you bought the title outside but would like it to be included in your library, you would have to buy it again. We know people do this, especially when prices are low. We could say it is good for us, but I don't really like it. The right solution would be for Steam to "sell" only the integration in the library, corresponding to the effective revenu they would like from it. They are able to sell lot of games at very low price, so it may means that it could be a reasonnable price, even if it is always a balance of everything that defines a price policy.
So, if you really want it on Steam, I can suggest to wait of either see a change in their policy, so you can feel secure to buy it outside of it today or to wait to see if we go on it and all I can say to help is that if it happens, it is very likely to be next year.

Just one thing I'm curios about. If you said in this comment that there is only one possibility to get maniaplanet titles on steam, if one key can be used for the steam version and the normal version.
As in the steam database is only stadium and storm, does this mean that it did not work with the keys transfer (that's why there is no canyon) or will stadium and storm (as we already know for e.g. elite) be free to play and should cover a wider audience/to bring in more players (therefore no additional key is needed to be purchased for the players outside from steam)?

Let's hope so... but I think it would be a "not-so-smart" move to test it in the open directly (because it won't get the bugs out of the game as a closed beta would), but hey: everything is possible
