Will all cars might be the same for every environment?

Remember the first picture of Trackmania 2 which is Canyon http://files.trackmania.com/screen_full.png

but when i watch Trackmania 2 trailer, it shows the Vally environment and the car seems to be the same as Canyon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIiWjeGS4Uw

Because they had some circumstances with Valley the developers decided to take the valley car and continue with Canyon

What problems, exactly, were they running into with Valley? Or do we know? Because it seems odd to me that they had a working video with Valley and at least several of the -to be used- trackpieces, yet they completely scrap it (for now) and decide to work up an entirely new environment...

With the statement that Hylis made, I am under the impression that they only chose to set aside the valley environment because Canyon was easier to finish up, which makes it seem unlikely that they will scrap valley completely.

Oh I have no doubt that they'll return to Valley at some point...it just seems odd to have an environment partway finished, and then scrap it in favor of a completely new one--although it is ironic that the "order of release" of the environments now mirrors TMO... TM2(1) is Canyon (desert) TM2(2) is Valley (Rally) and SM(1) is Cryo (Alpine)
