Re: Trackmania² Stadium Open Beta
Hello, First post and wanted to say awesome game, bought a copy myself the other day. Anyway, I was wondering if there was any way to lock your camera into one place to prevent maps from changing it? Its kinda intrusive and really messes up times often. Sorry if solution is on here I couldnt find one.

I see. Guess I'll wait for a fix. Reason its called a beta I suppose.

Re: Trackmania² Stadium Open Beta
there won't be a fix, it's supposed to be like that, so map creators can make the racing experience like they want.

I just came here to ask the same question. Almost every server I've played on, the majority of tracks switch to ridiculously awkward loop cameras that both make it super-awkward to steer, and don't allow you to see whatever is in front of you so you wouldn't know where to steer anyway. Pretty serious flaw for a game that thrives on user-generated content.
Re: Trackmania² Stadium Open Beta
if you get cam2 on loops (the one where you can see your car), it's because of maps convertion from older games which is not working properly, and maybe will be fixed. if you get cam3 (when there's no car), well, it's normal...

Find the old map in your folder, drag it into your new folder.evolution75 wrote:how export track for united to stadium 2 please ?

Go to your TM2 editor and browse for folder.
Save it and you will have a new copy of your track.

That's ironic... This is actually a consequence of user-generated content. Users can generate their own camera angles. If they want to point the camera at the wall instead of at your car, they are free to do so, and you are free not to play that track.DandyJ wrote:Pretty serious flaw for a game that thrives on user-generated content.
Apparently most people prefer these cameras, since they appear on many tracks.
Re: Trackmania² Stadium Open Beta
The better way is to let Trackmania recalculate the lightmap of all of the tracks for you.d.m.f._nl_ wrote:Find the old map in your folder, drag it into your new folder.evolution75 wrote:how export track for united to stadium 2 please ?

(It's been posted earlier in this thread.)
1. Copy the TMNF Stadium tracks to the place where you store your tracks in TM2.
On my computer my maps are in: C:\Users\username\ManiaPlanet\Maps\My Maps
If your can't find where your maps are. Open maniaplanet launcher and press the help button. The path is written next to the "Move personal data button"
2. Press "Windows button" + R and paste the following:
Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files (x86)\ManiaPlanet\ManiaPlanet.exe" /computeallshadows /useronly /collections=Stadium /LmQuality=High
You could also have LmQuality=Default or LmQuality=Fast if you don't need high quality lighting/want to speed it up.
Note: Exchange "C:\Program Files (x86)\ManiaPlanet\" to wherever maniaplanet is installed on your computer.
3. Sit back and relax while all TMNF Stadium tracks are "fixed". (Except for some custom camera issues people keep complaining about.)
