Hi everyone,

I don't mind having new players with 3 shield... but hitting +0 for every new player is not acceptable and makes me want to not play at all. There has to be some different way of calculating points instead of giving nothing at all... just because they are new doesn't mean they are bad.

I know for a fact 95% of people will agree with me on this.

Ubi servers are made for beginners... they are blocked at 10k LP... If you feel yourself confident and think you dont deserve to share your training with other newbies you can always look for higher ranked/private servers

A couple of problems here:
  • There are entirely too many "beginner" servers. The server browser is so cluttered with them, you really have to look to find a different server. While many of us know that, a lot of newer players don't. I believe this relates to the number of "non-noob" but not yet "experienced" players in the beginner servers. Seriously, get rid of at least half of these servers... I've never seen more than 10 or so populated at once, and it usually is less than that.
  • MARK THEM AS BEGINNER SERVERS!!!!! If you click the "beginner" button, yes, those servers come up. If you don't click the beginner button they come up as well, and are not marked as beginner. If it is a beginner server, that should be part of the title.
  • Awesome solution: Have beginner servers ONLY show up under the beginner tab.
  • I often play in the beginner servers. It is partially because I like to talk to new players and give them tips about setup and things. (The initial setup of this game requires a lot of work... y scale, lame default x-hair, sensitivity too high, etc etc) The other reason is that it is often the only place to play. Most non beginner Royal servers are in Europe and I ping horribly there. I wouldn't mind so much, but I know it messes with other players snapshots. If I try to populate a non beginner NA server, I usually end up running around by myself or with one or two other players until I get frustrated and leave. Right now, if you are in North America you basically have the option of playing on high ping Euro servers, playing on beginner servers, or not playing at all.
  • The ladder points system needs some work. If high LP players are in a beginner server, I believe the lower LP players should receive LP on a different scale. The should receive credit for beating high LP players, but high LP players beating them should not affect their score.
  • The 10k block is pretty stupid. As of the time of this posting, there are only 270 people in the world with 10k or more ladder points. You want the beginner server to be effective, drop this to 3k.

Would beginners automatically get kicked as soon as they pass the beginner level?

No, they would simply stop receiving ladder points on that server. (It would be neat if they were scaled instead)

In the "old" royal, my lp was maxed for a long time. I could still play on 60k lp servers, but received no lp.
