error 12029--cannot create account

hello,

kind of frustrated at this point... i purchased track mania canyons through the nadeo site today. i downloaded the executable and installed.

i am able to get into the launcher- and it asks me to create an account
i put a username and password ( 2 times) i press OK--then i get error 12029....says cannot connect

i have tried disabling firewall ( windows, and my router).

i have looked up the hosts file--nothing there at all..

--dont know what to do.. help!

Please try to do as follows:
Open IE -> Press Alt+X then click on "internet settings" -> Advanced -> Scroll down until you see the security section and un-tick "check for server certificate revocation" and "check for signatures in downloaded programs".

ok did what you said... still get error 12029..

i can play trackmania nations just fine... this mediaplanet thing is what is not working..

are you able to help? i just spent 19.99 on a game that i cannot play at all...

i can play track mania nations....but i paid 19.99 for this game, and am asking for some support...

i am trying to get you guys to help me first before i ask for a refund...

What is your system specs and your internet connection? Could you please provide me with your purchasing key by email? What is your antivirus?

antivirus... dont use one..

Can you please try to restart your router and opened up, again, the port used by maniaplanet: 2350 and 3450 for TCP and UDP?
Then please restart maniaplanet.

nope still not working. i opened up my ports tcp/udp for the ports you mentioned =(
