What is the Bug? Cannot use gamepad

Just bought Canyon and the gamepad cannot be used in most screens. Cannot select RT or LT in configuration. Cannot select different stick for directions. Tried both DirectInput and Xmode. Neither works properly. However, with the default settting, you can drive the car with the gamepad, but it's a horrible configuration and basically unplayable.

I used the Logitech profiler to remap keys to the gamepad buttons like I used to do with 90's games. So it sorta works in the game itself now. Still, I'd like to be able to move to the current decade in terms of functionality. This is very frustrating.

My gamepad works fine on all games except TrackMania. I repeat, ALL GAMES. It is NOT a hardware issue. It is a TrackMania software issue. So you can claim to not want to fix it or support certain gamepads, but please don't try and blame it on the hardware.

I'm not claiming anything at all, and no one said anything about a fix of that.

However, there are many gamepads which are working fine, and again I recommend you search a bit in the forum.

TrackMania has always had pure digital control, best to be used with keyboard, as basis input.
Analog steering as well as analog throttle also seem to work fine, and only for the brake it is recommended to use a button, which allows you to start a drift in Canyon while staying at full throttle.

there's no analog throttle in TM...

but this axis could still be used... central position = no throttle, full throttle = full throttle
