Trouble Setting up dedicated

I have run into some problems with trying to get a dedicated server running online for me and some of my friends to play on.

I'm using the 1.02 dedicated server for tm2
I have the xaseco package but I haven't gotten the other things on the pc that it needs to work.

I'm just trying to get the basic dedi to run.

I edited a cfg file, made a matchsetting file and copied the maps I want into every map folder I could find in the server directory.

I made a batch file to run the server, the server loads the cfg, connects to master server but when it gets to loading the matchsettings file it says the maps could not be found playlist does not exist and then exits

I thought I had found a good walkthrough a couple days ago but I didn't bookmark it and I haven't found it again.

trying to get it to run with stadium.

Just hopin to get the IHBP server and tracks back online again soon it's been since nations was new since I ran one and it was a blast I am ready to play more.

if anyone can point me in the right direction or help me out with gettin my initial server setup I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

What tracks are you using ?

Tracks from tmx do not work.
Tracks from TM1 have to be converted.

Maybe that's youre problem ?

ManiaplanetServer.exe /game_settings=MatchSettings/TM<title>A.txt /dedicated_cfg=dedicated_cfg.txt

(run with /title=TMStadium and /game_settings=MatchSettings/TMStadiumA.txt )



Save youre matchsetting as : TMStadiumA.txt ( in the right dir. ofcourse )

I've tried with the TMStadiumA matchsettings and I've also done it with the matchsettings exported from my game with custom tracks I've made. I'm wondering if I have a syntax error somewhere in all of it

i have done it the same way as you and copied all the tracks from maps/mymaps to userdata/maps/mymaps

it worked for me but when i tried to join the Server it didnt work at all... my ports are free...

Are you trying to run your server on Linux or Windows?
You will indeed need the TMStadiumA.txt MatchSettings to start the server and don't forget to include /game=TMStadium.
Have you checked if the maps are in the correct directory (like the one posted in the MatchSettings)?

Thanks for the help, it was a syntax error in my batch file to start the ded with, I forgot to add a part but once I changed it it's been working great so far.

Later on I'll fancy it up some but for now we're going to work on adding good tracks for everyone to check out

the server is SpeedSpree in north america if anyone cares to drop in.
