Map making help

Post by ND1Razor »

Hey all,

I just made my first map (in joust) and turns out its built diagonally.
I can't seem to find any diagonal spawns. Using the normal ones unbalances the map as both players spawn on the same one and it will be closer to one pole than the other.

Is there any way to fix this? Custom blocks or something im missing?

Second question,
Is there any way to raise/lower poles and spawns. I have definitely played on maps where this has been done but the blocks don't seem to move.

Third,
Is there a way to force railguns only?

I tried googling but doesn't turn up much in terms of editing specifics.
Hopefully someone more experienced than I can help me.
Cheers!

No diagonal spawns. One workaround would be to build a "standard" starting point then dropping into the main area (built diagonally), thus balancing the map.

There are some spawns/poles without castle ground.

This would be a script modification. Quite unlikely to be seen atm.

isn't it the case that in joust both players spawn in the same spawn? that would balance the map automatically, as the players are able to run to the same goal. i have seen this in several maps, you don't need to balance the distance to both goals

castle spawns/poles can be lowered and raised like any other block with the mouse wheel while spawns/poles on grass cannot

like papychampy already answered, it's not possible and in my opinion that's fine ;)
