Hi everyone,
Today we are releasing our matchmaking system. You can now enjoy matches with your friends against opponents of the same level on Joust and Elite.
To enjoy this new experience, find a lobby, be ready, and play! Lobbies can be found by clicking the Matchmaking button in the multiplayer menu of Joust and Elite.
For Elite, if you want to play with some of your friends, once connected to the lobby: open your buddy chat window; select your buddy; set him as ally. If he does the same, you will be matched in the same team.
For hosters who wants to host a lobby with matchmaking please report to this topic: http://forum.maniaplanet.com/viewtopic. ... 63&t=16851

Re: Elite and Joust MatchMaking
You guys should add some kind of elo system to shootmania matchmaking. I know a lot of people who would be twice as interested in the game just because of a ranking system. It's something that isn't really done in shooters outside of cs:go.

+1 for gregomyeggo
With the implemantation of Matchmaking u should not only gain Points for ranking if you win, you should also lose them if you lost a match against an equalent opponent.

Agreed with Grego.
Re: Elite and Joust MatchMaking
There is no point in saying "Do an ELO because other do".
Our matchmaking system allow any user (with some PHP skills) to do his own matchmaking function.
Our is based on LP, maybe later on your last match results.
Match played with the matchmaking may give more LP than other.
The system is in its early stage of development. Stay tuned

The system now supports Allies !
When you are in a lobby, if you go maniaplanet live chat, your can set one of your buddy as ally.
If he sets you as ally too, the system will automatically make a team with you and your ally.
In elite, if 3 players are all allies with each other, you can play as a team for sure.

Re: Elite and Joust MatchMaking
I dunno if this is possible, but because matchmaking is becoming more & more popular its getting very laggy in the lobbies, so I suggest to remove snapshot.
I dont know if you realise this NADEO, but please connect to your matchmaking servers on a night and see for yourselves. Its ssssssssoooo laggy and leaves a bad impression.
Some people leave the lobby because of the bad experience they get with the lagg.
Just a friendly tip^^
