It may not be possible or too much work but i will ask the question anyway;

Would it be possible to add an option under the sound-settings called "road rumble" where one can choose to have the new MP implemented sounds when skidding and driving on different Surfaces enabled or disabled?

Please!?

I appreciate the fact that the dev's are looking for more "realism" with this sound but for me, especially the skidding sound on dirt, is unbarable. I find i avoid playing the game because of it.

I shall try to make a recording/video of how the sound appear on my system, win8, X-Fi Titanium champion, Logitech Z5500 5.1 speakers. I have played around with every setting i can Think of including the X-Fi controlpanel.

How can I boost my custom music so it's loud enough ingame?
If I add to much gain it will only get distorted. Is there some kind of compressor method I need to use or something?

Well i'm surprised that every music track you use to listen on your regular player is not loud enough in game..
The best solution if you really want it louder without any quality loss, is to rise up your computer sound volume, and lower the ingame-sounds volume.
Dynamic compression can be a solution, but not a really clean or respectful one (regarding the dude who record or mastered your beloved track hehe).

Regarding Pedal's issue, what you call road rumble, is also a feedback of what type of ground (and type of gameplay) you're currently on. It's also quite important to know you're drifting isn't it ? Why would you get rid of those feedback ?
Maybe if you can explain what you dislike about it, or why it bothers you, it would be a better help to find a more appropriate solution. If it's only personnal taste, you do understand we cannot spend time on this matter, because like you said, we are quite busy a few days away from ShootMania's relase :-).

I know, this is what I'm doing now but it's not pretty. My custom music sounds the same ingame as if I play it on anything else but compared to the default ingame music and sound effects it's by far not loud enough.

Definitly not clean, nope. Especialy if the end mix allready is compressed. Although I rip to wave in the best quality, there's nothing to work with.

Howcome there's such a big difference between imported music and the default musics?

To be exactly on the same page, when you're talking about custom music, you mean, ogg files that you put in your Docs\Maniaplanet\Media\Musics\ folder, to listen to them while racing ?

There isn't supposed to be any reason for that volume loss, if there's a bug causing those troubles, we might take a look at it indeed..

Yes, I mean ogg files added to the track as background music.

I was only playing the track intro to listen to the music. I've found out when you actually drive, the music is a lot louder.
It seems the wind sound you get with a camera flight causes the music to fade.
I also searched for better recorded music which also helped. I still have to ad atleast 0.6db gain to my recordings though.

To start off, i Think it's important to you to know that i drive TM2 Stadium only and 90% dirt only in Stadium.

What i feel, and this is especially when drifting/skidding, is that the sound is way to loud and also unrealistic. It just sounds bad. Also it goes on top of all other sounds that i feel are more important, like Engine sound (to hear if the car Changes gear) and/or other sounds that would inform me if i am pushing my line too far.

I agree that some kind of sound to indicate drifting/skidding is a good thing but for me, i Always force my drifts so i know when i am drifting and i can also see if the car is driving on dirt, grass or asphalt so i feel these sounds are not "important".

For me, the issue is that the "road rumble" sounds first and upmost are too loud compared to the rest of the sounds.

I don't know if this issue is related to my system or my ears or neither :) but i find this, for me, a big issue in TM2 Stadium. I have never experienced this in neither TMF or any other racing game.

I of course understand if i am the only one having an issue with this that Little or nothing can be done from your side.

Hi GabrielM,

Yes, i play with the SFX volume slider @ full range. Music slider @ zero/muted.

In MP CP "Audio" i have sound quality @ normal with HRTF and Dynamic mix disabled.
