Leagues / Ladders coming to SM

Hey everyone I just wanted to reach out and inform you guys of something really awesome coming to Shootmania. I really love the community of this game and I hope to see it continually growing. IGL, International Gaming League, is going to be picking up Shootmania for one of their titles to have leagues. IGL will focus on NA for now, but because SM has a strong following in EU and I've heard some interest from the EU for some Leagues I asked that we have an EU league and IGL said Yes.

My hope with this post is to fully gauge the interest from EU. So, please be vocal about how you feel so we can properly allocate our resources. If it is something you are not interested in we won't add it. Our goal is to give the community what they want. We are in the growing phase so I don't want to spread the SM team thinner than need be.


IGL Leagues

The IGL League structure is a ‘Divisional/Tier’d’ System that cultivates growth at all skill levels. IGL Leagues are divided into 4 distinct Divisions: Premier, Select, Main, Open. The following outline of this structure is only a basic outline. The number of divisions for each game will depend on the number of participants. A basic structure will remain in place.

1. Premier Division (Pro level)
2. Select Division (Pro to semipro level)
3. Main Division (Advanced to Semipro Level)
4. Open Division (Amateur to Casual Level)

These Divisions will help coordinate teams into more competitive play and will be taking some queues from Football (bartlett), and having relegation and promotion between leagues.
First we are hoping to find out if the community / teams are hoping to participate in Leagues we offer.
Second we are wondering if there is anyone in the community who would be interested in helping work with IGL to admin different events


IGL Ladders

Ladders on the IGL system will consist of single group ladders for each community. The IGL ladders will consist of one large group of teams/players, however, the difference will be that each ladder is ‘tiered’ putting groups of teams in their own tab. This allows teams to play in the Ladder with similar skilled teams with the ability to work up as high the ladder as they can.

The website looks very cool & I like the overall design & style.
But its not finished. So much bugs that it just frustrates me and its not crossbrowser either.

My friendly advice would be to wait before you 'spam' forums with your site and finish it first cuz now it just gave me a bad impression.

Also , when creating a team you can only select USA :/

ill recheck this thread/website in 2weeks to see the improvements it so desperately needs!

Everything we are doing is currently in Beta. This is not a forum spam. I am trying to reach out to the EU scene to see if it is something they want. There is no EU team section because IGL was going to be NA only. I talked to them about doing EU for Shootmania because of how strong the SM scene is in the EU. I am posting info to see if it is something the EU scene would desire.


If you could report what bugs you have please let us know. We have a team working on the site every day. We opened sign ups now because we want to flush out our system and fix whatever is broken. Thank you for the feedback.

Yeah well, most teams now play ESL cups, ESL series, Go4shootmania just started & eclypsia.
So almost every day there is something to do currently.

If you can offer something else than those ( or the same but better ) then ofcourse It 'd be awesome to have IGL in EU.
What I miss is a ladder with points & stats divided into skilllevels, so I think your website will work for sure in the EU + its better when it comes to usability in comparison to other existing similar websites.

ALSO : 1 match each 5days is a lil much. Make it 7. Also make it 3weeks inactive = removal of the team out of the ladder. But thats just my opinion. Give the team custom avatars too pls. EDIT : ( this didnt work in Opera. In FF it worked. ) Let me change the teamname too pls (for example : a sponsor wants you to put its name in front of the teamname. )

make it possible to select a European location when creating a team.
How else can you know if we , europeans , are willing to play on IGL? ^^

I also saw that the Daymare team is located in Belarus How did they do that? I can only choose american locations
